• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Bug Killer
Plant City hosts a car night the 3rd saturday of the month, for us down south it is a nice ride.

I spent over an hour inviting everyone to this event, but the webmaster must have shut me off so I lost everything.

So now I must make it short and to the point,

Everyone north and south of Plant City head there on Saturday, Let's show a huge number of Corvettes that are members of CorvetteFlorida.com

Deb and I will be there. email or call me for info.

See ya there,

Joe B.

I wouldn't mind showing up..I have my nephews play in St pete this saturday night but I'll look forward to the next one!

We will catch you next time.

Now that I have put this plan in motion, I can't remember the name of a good place for everyone to meet at on Saturday. If anyone has a convenient place to meet, just outside of the historic district, give us all directions. Otherwise we can all meet in the parking lot next to the old train depot.

Any help is welcome,
Joe B.

What webmaster? Not here, I hope!

Connie and I are going to be in Seffner on Saturday to pick up my C5Z at AntiVenom's. Not sure of the time, though, but I'm guessing early afternoon. Not sure if we're going to spend the evening down there or just head on back home. Saturday will be my birthday, and I know Connie wants to do something that day. Maybe a cruise from AntiVenom to Plant City?

Hey RichZ love to see you there. Carrie and I will be there with the 72 and I'd love to see the vette without the oil look.

Joe is going to let us know a time frame and exact location and we hope to see ya'll there.

Sorry we won't beable to make it,prior plans with the parents.Maybe next time.

What time is the show? All I know is that I will be in the Seffner area in the afternoon. Everything else is an unknown right now.....

Joe, thanks for invite. I had my second and hopefully last surgery on neck 2 days after i saw u at wing factor. Right now i dont think the neck would handle a ride in vette. Barely able to drive the Titan around town.
But in a few weeks i'll be raring to do something. :banghead: Cabin fever is setting in and i've watch "The Shining" all week. And we know how that movies ended.

LOL

See ya all soon

Hey guys, Seems the car show in at McCall Park in "historic Plant City" and is a 4 to 9 gig. Is that what you came up with Joe?

We'll be there. Goldie needs a night out.:lmao:

Restrictions.....

Just got off the recorded C of C phone line for the car show. It's restricted to 86 and older vehicles. It said nothing about vettes regardless of year. I might just forgo this too if all my buds are not allowed.:banghead: :banghead:

Ken:rofl1:

I wasn't really planning on showing my car, it got pretty nasty driving home Weds. from the Steak Out in Clearwater. Joe was talking about just driving up and being spectators.

Joe B. asked me to announce we will all meet in the parking lot next to the old train depot in Plant City. See Ya. Mark

Well what a day. Joe, Deb , Mark and myself gathered at Joe's place getting ready to head to Plant City when the skies opened up. We weathered the storm out at Joe's until 6:30 when we braved the elements and went out for a bite to eat.
Thanks again to Joe & Deb's terrific hospital. Oh yea, Joe probably won't be here for a day or two. Seems lightning hit real close and Joe's cable equipment is a little toasted, but no fear, Brighthouse said they would get things up and running when they felt like it.
Up next thinking about going to the next round Rev Extreme Challenge at Bradenton Raceway Park in August.

Thanks Joe and Deb for your kind hospitality as we weathered through the verocious lightening and rain storm!!
Sorry Ken and Carrie for not showing up at the car show. Joe's computer moden and phone fried in the electrical storm and we had no way to reach you. Mark:ack2:

Yeah, it was raining like hell while Connie and I were at AntiVenom, so we didn't even bother driving out to Plant City. Figured it would be a wash out. Guess I'll be buffing out water spots on the two cars over the next couple of days......

I got to Vero Beach yesterday about the time that storm was hitting there. WOW!!! Nasty stuff:( Also gave me the "opportunity" to find out that the 87 really does leak like a sieve!:lmao:

As for the PC show, they won't allow anything newer to participate. Our F-body group used to meet there by the bank in a big group and party, hang out, walk the show, eat, and socialize:thumbsup:

A couple of the people could participate (69 camaros) and the rest of us just watched.

It was also a great way to get our name out to the public. We had a big banner we strug across some trees and picked up several new members as a result of the walk and drive by's.

Speaking of new members. While I was down in Vero at the CF memorial fundraiser/car show/God's little freakin' car wash:rofl1: for Mike Holt, I met several people from up in my area. Handed out several flyers and hopefully we'll see some new faces shortly:thumbsup: Great folks, I think you'll like them.

Also saw Dark Phantom, a member that hasn't been around in a while. Said he'll be back too:thumbsup:
