I've heard all different sorts of conflicting info about this and hope you can give us the straight scoop.
In reference to a NEW vehicle, when is the best TIME (price wise and coverage wise) to buy a GMPP extended warranty? A 2007 Corvette already comes with a 3 year/36K (5yr/100K on drivetrain), right? So up until the end of that 3 year period, the GMPP extended warranty is available.
But is the price different if purchased within the first 12 months/12K miles as opposed to buying within the second or third year of the original warranty period?
Let me put it this way. Of course, I want to get the most bang for my buck, so if I look to buy a 7 year plan and buy it the day I buy my car, then in reality I am only buying 4 years over and above the standard warranty. Right? If I buy it on the last day of that 12 month original warranty, does that further extend the coverage to total 8 years? Or can I wait until the end of the three year period and buy the same 7 year plan and therefore extend my warranty coverage for a full 10 years? Or do all these scenarios fall on their face because the GMPP warranty just begins on day one when I bought the car and it doesn't matter at all when I actually buy the coverage?
:thinkin:
Sure would appreciate the straight scoop on this......
Thanks!
