Rain today

It rained here HARD all night long last night. My dopey rain gauge only measured 0.04 inches, however. :banghead: Time to find a new one, I guess.

Yeah, they are calling for 1 to 2 inches of rain in the early AM hours of Friday, and then 2 to 3 inches during the rest of the day.

Maybe I should take the C5Z out for a drive while our road is still dry.

Well, been raining to beat the ban for several hours now, with no letup in sight. No sense even looking at my rain gauge, as it is toast.

At least it doesn't appear to be cold temps on the backside of this storm system.

Darn, wish my rain gauge was working. Rained pretty hard all night long and most of today. Still raining like hell right now. I can see a stream running down our driveway under the carport and in front of the garage. Not a chance I'll be taking any of the vettes out for a ride any time soon. I'm sure our road is a real mess right about now. Might even have the stream on the north end of our road underwater right now. That has happened in the past, and even had the concrete bridge wash out a couple of times.

Well, it was a good day to get on the phone and get some things straightened out that I've put aside for a rainy day.

Yeah, seeing it on the radar. Still raining here too.

Another 38 days and we'll be wishing we had built an ark.

It was still raining here when I went to bed at around 4 am. Sun is shining now, though.

I just walked down to look at our road, and it is a mess. Two deep grooves from vehicles and most areas still filled with water.

And obviously WastePro wasn't real keen on going out in the rain yesterday, as the recyclable bin hasn't been picked up.

Well, Connie and I will not be traveling out today. Had been planning on going to the gun show today, but got a notice that FedEx will be delivering my new laptop and they need a signature. So just as well. Can always run out to the fairgrounds tomorrow.

Good day to tinker with scopes. I got too many and need to sell many off.

Wish I could see more of the sky from here. I've often thought about getting a really nice scope to play with. But it would be wasted from my property. Just too heavily wooded so I can't see anything below something like a 45 degree angle from any direction.

Guess I can't have everything....... :)

Get a saw. Looks like more heavy rain the later this week.

I've got saws. Plenty of them. I presume you have seen the videos I took with my drone showing the woods here. That would be a LOT of cutting. And one horrendous mess that would need to be cleaned up afterwards. So in a word, "nope". That just is not a feasible idea at all.

Was hoping to take the C6Z out for a spin this week and at least put fresh gasoline in it. But our road is lumpy as hell, and sure the from spoiler would wind up scraping up dirt along the way. But with that and the rain forecast to begin maybe Wednesday night, not likely for a vette ride. Actually stuff is beginning to pule up behind that car in the garage. So if I don't take it out soon, it may be blocking in the garage for good.

Yeah, I can see a patch of storms out in the Gulf headed in your direction.

Seems like every time I check the forecast they are lowering the forecast temperature for Friday night. It is now sitting at 36 degrees. And about the same for Saturday night.
