• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. Rain today

Heck we had another storm pass through around 5:00 PM. Brought the total rainfall for today up to 3.24". We are planning on running out to the post office late tonight, so I'll bet our road is a mess. Luckily three out of the four vehicles we have now are four wheel drive. Haven't had the vette out for a while...

Looked like we were in for a lot of rain again today, but when the radar images cleared out, we only got off and on drizzles amounting to only 0.07".

Whooee! Between 2:00 and 3:00 am last night, we got 4.39" of rain! Lots of lightning and thunder, too!

We've gotten 10.72" of rain so far in August. 8.68" of which was just this week.

Looks like we are going to be getting more rain today. 0.55" so far and more coming.

Got 3.01" of rain on Sunday as of midnight, and then 0.45" more since then before I head off to bed.

Heck, we have had just shy of 15" of rain for the month of August!

On avg most any place in FL gets more rain than the west coast of FL since we are in a west flow just about all of every summer so inland and east coast always gets more.

So again, we get sent to the eye of the hurricane! Apparently Pennsylvania is the hotspot for hurricanes this year. I drove here from Chicago Friday night and encountered the rain and wind as Laura curved toward the Atlantic. Mind you, it was nothing compared to what Louisiana and Texas got. But it does appear that I'm a hurricane/tornado magnet this year! I probably won't return to Florida until October so maybe you guys can catch a break!

If Jim Cantore starts asking you for your route plans, then you will know for certain you are in trouble.... :dead:
