Rain today

Yeah, we got 0.48" more rain after midnight and up to right now. Might be more on the way, according to the weather radar.

Almost an inch and a half inches here Wednesday and Thursday. Winds on Wednesday were reportedly up to 80 mph gust. Our power went off at 8:35 Wednesday evening and they had it on for about 20 minutes last night, then it went out again. Still out. It hit hard from Alabama eastward to Thomasviille, Georgia. We still have rain in the forecast for the next few days. Lots of Pecan limbs in the yard.

I think I felt about a dozen rain drops today over the various times I was outside. :shrug01:

We got 0.31" of rain yesterday.

Mosquitoes are beginning to build up. But at least the yellow flies seem to have tapered off considerably. I need to set up those mosquito magnets one of these days.

1.45 inches of rain today. Was under a tornado watch for a bit. Under a flood watch through Friday.

We got 0.20" more rain just a little bit ago. Probably will be more before morning.

We drove through rain all this past week from Kentucky to Orlando. Been dry here in Georgia since Thursday night though. Humidity is high but the sun is shining.

Well that sounds about right. As I have said for a long time now, the general precipitation forecast around here is "General drought conditions with widely scattered flooding." :)

Well, looks like June is going to close out without any more rain to add to the total. So.....

Rain for June, 2023 = 6.96"

Total rain, so far, for 2023 = 31.44"
