Rain today

It all came to a end here. Around the 18th is when things just come to a end for us. I don't see any real rain the rest of the year unless something tropical comes our way.

Might need to keep an eye on this one. several models are showing it coming right up my alley...

Now expecting it to be a CAT 4 by landfall tomorrow. And it looks like my area of Georgia is looking at winds of 58-73 mph unless they've upgraded it. This one's gonna leave a mark.

Got 0.75" of rain today (Wednesday). I don't know what to think about this hurricane Helene. There appear to be two contradictory camps involved. One saying a Cat 4 storm, and the other indicating a mild Cat 1 storm. All the models on ventusky.com are showing a very mild hurricane impacting the armpit of the panhandle. Likely right in my neighbor hood. May or may not bail out of here. Depends on how things look in the early afternoon on Thursday. My garage is rated for 140mph winds, and that was before I doubled up the bolts on all the connecting flanges. If things look rough, I may just sit in the Trailhawk inside the garage and wait it out there.

Already a 2 and getting stronger.

Amazing! No damage, just a few small limbs down and 3 1/2 inches of rain. We didn't even lose power. So glad it moved to the east! Sorry for Perry Florida though. And it looks like North Carolina is getting destroyed with all the flooding! It took out I-40!

Lost power for about 32 hours. But no damage anywhere here that I have found. Just lots of small tree branches to clean up. With power out, I have no idea how much rain we accumulated.

Monthly rainfall for September, 2024: 12.82 inches

Total rainfall for 2024 so far: 60.56 inches.
