Rain today

Rained off and on mostly all day yesterday (Sunday). But only got 0.51" of rain out of it.

It's been in the 80's most days and occasional shower but no rainy days .

I will be coming out of retirement after 9 months and return to Maine March 1st .I keep seeing Temperatures like -30 and snow for the first half of March.I'm going to buy some long socks .:banghead:

I think maybe you should be looking for some long underwear too! This warm Florida weather does thin your blood and make cold weather seem a LOT colder than you will remember it.

When I first moved down here, I would be outside in shorts and short sleeved shirts when the temps were in the mid 50s. Nowadays, I've got a heavy shirt or jacket on if it's under 65. Forget about shorts!

We got 0.42" of rain yesterday starting in the late afternoon. But it was kind of gloomy looking most of the day.

We got 2.21" of rain overnight last night. I'm guessing this is going to be prompting even more plants to be putting out new growth and their Spring flowers. Already have some flowers coming out on Connie's Pumelo tree.

Suppose to have a few chilly nights towards the end of this week, though, so that might put a damper on things.

We had 0.32" of rain yesterday evening (Wednesday) and 0.43" of rain today.

And Jeff, "snow" is a four letter word around here...... :toetap05:

I'm thinking we might be coming into our dry season early this year. Been two weeks since we got any rain at all, and nothing much showing up on the scorecard for the next 10 days. The 30 percent chance of rain we had for Tuesday gave us nothing. So we need to star watering the fruit trees, I guess.

I might want them producing real well this year, so I can't neglect them.

I bet it will be dry until mid June. Not a drop here this month and nothing coming.

Living in the middle of the woods like I do, this worries me. When the forest gets all dried up all it takes is one yahoo riding through the woods and brainlessly flicking his cigarette out the window.

Wow! We finally got some rain here. A whopping 0.01" of it!

Yeah, THAT will help.............. :dead:

Well heck, we did get another 0.10" of rain since I posted above. Still, better than nothing, I suppose.
