Rain today

Just a very light mist of drizzle today, amounting to a measly 0.03".

Total accumulated rain for February, 2022 = 3.34 inches

Total for 2022, so far = 10.28 inches.

Sure SEEMS like a lot less than that!

Not even 3" yet and i see nothing for weeks.

We might get some rain next week, but the forecast percentages are kind of low. Perhaps the dry season is starting early this year.

Yeah, there was some sort of Red Fag Warning for smoke today. You would think people would be smart enough to realize that with dry weather and high winds, it is just NOT a good idea to be burning stuff out in the yard. That includes the national forest people who typically do (un)controlled burns this time of year. They must look for especially low IQ people for that department.

In the past we have fires so close that burning embers were falling in our yard. And once we had a fire truck drive by while we were outside in the yard and they stopped to ask us if we knew where the fire was located. :face_palm_02: I am NOT kidding! I told them no, but if you follow the smoke, that might help. :hehehe:

At midnight for 03-10-2022 we had gotten 4.06 inches of rain. Still coming down with 0.15" AFTER midnight with no break in sight.

We put down 120 lbs of fertilizer on the fruit trees Monday, so I hope it doesn't just get washed away. :(

We wound up getting 0.45" of rain on Thursday.

Forecast is calling for 3 to 4 more inches of rain for Friday and Friday night. I can see it coming from the southwest Gulf of Mexico on the radar.

They are still calling for a low of 28 degrees Saturday night. Man I hope they are WAY wrong and it is warmer than that. Got a lot of fruit trees putting out new growth and flower buds. We may have to cover our navel orange tree as that one has a ridiculous number of flower buds on it right now. Sure would hate to have them all frozen off. That means I have to put posts in the ground to hang the big tarp off of over that tree.

We got 1.01" of rain here today (Friday). More coming down now and more on the way overnight with a flood watch and gale warnings. Temps are supposed to be dropping down to 26 degrees for Saturday night... :dead:

Planning on putting some bamboo stakes in the ground and covering the navel orange tree, along with Connie's pineapple plants. Probably going to be some unhappy looking plants come Sunday. Just hope the winds don't blow off the tarps.

We got 0.77" more rain overnight with lots of wind. Heard a bunch of tree limbs and crap hitting the roof all night long. Windy out today.

Calling for a low of 27 degrees tonight with a freeze warning in effect. :(

Wind gusts up to 25 mph tonight, so might be tough keeping the tarps on the plants.

This is Florida, dammit! Keep that cold weather up north where it belongs!

Had .80" today. This is what March used to be like.

We got 1.11 inches of rain today. No real heavy downpours just a steady rain all day long. The fruit trees are likely going to be happy.

According to localconditions.com we got 4.37 inches of rain yesterday. And I believe it! It was really coming down!

Yeah, I saw all that heavy rain swinging north of us on the weather radar. We only really got brushed by the southern edge of it.
