Rain today

Ran into rain south of Macon early Thursday morning, like 0330 early. Continued all the way to Orlando and then from Lakeland back up to Jasper. It wasn't too heavy and at least I didn't run in to it in Atlanta. Atlanta is bad enough without rain.....

1 3/8's up here in SW Georgia.

We helped our daughter and son in law move from Tallahassee to Chatanooga Tennessee on Saturday and went to see my wife's Dad in North Carolina on Sunday. Then on down to Savannah Georgia to see our youngest son and his family. We came home Tuesday night and ran into the squall line less than 10 miles from our house. It had the Escalade rocking pretty hard, hard enough that we were glad we weren't driving the Peterbilt! The grass has greened up considerably but we could use a few more inches just like everywhere else in the southeast.

Raining up here this morning. Pretty amazing how green it got with just the little rain we've had since last week.

Well, the rain started a bit before midnight last night, and continued through most of today. Looks like we may have more coming our way. So far, the total rain for the "event" is 9.16 inches.

Not a drop here. I am looking to move as i hate it here so much with year round heat and never any rain. There has to be a curse put on my area.

With the 0.68" today, the total since Friday night is 9.84 inches of rain.

I guess we will have a bloom of mosquitoes shortly.

Any place that never gets above 80f or below 30f and gets 60" of rain and no dew points over 70f. It has got so hot and dry where i am over the last 40 years that it is unreal.

If you find such a place that's NOT called California, (or anywhere on the west coast) let me know.

I did enjoy the weather out there when I was stationed out there but I couldn't live there. Really glad we stay in the southeast on our route now. We only saw snow one day last year up in Kentucky, and that's ok with us.

No such place in this country.
