Rain!

Man, it rained all day yesterday, been raining all day today, forecast 60% Thursday and 80% Friday. Looks like I might as well cancel the reservation Connie and I have at the cabin on Cape San Blas Thursday and Friday....

At least all the plants are happy, though. And I'm sure the mosquitoes are going to take advantage of this as well.

My son is in Alabama, they have been getting hammered.
Had a tornado 2 miles from his house, no power , said it was getting crowded with the 4 of them in the bathtub!

STILL raining here, and looking like it will be so through Saturday.

Looks like it was just as well that I cancelled those reservations, since if we're going to be stuck inside because of rain, might as well be here rather than there.

Got the battery tenders on the vettes, as they won't be going anywhere for a while. Our road is a mess. Locals are coming by here in their 4 wheel drive trucks to mud bog up and down the road. Which REALLY helps matters....

Poured like crazy last evening and started raining gently here maybe an hour ago. Other then raking the mulch back into the flower bed we should be just fine. At least we don't have to put 4 people in the bath tub (narf, narf).

west coast weather

don't know how you boys do it on the west coast with all the lighting strikes.and rain coming off the gulf.s.e fla much calmer.:shrug01:

And yet more rain.....

Been getting afternoon showers every day lately. It's so darn wet and humid outside that even the mushrooms are now getting moldy.....

Getting a few skeeters showing up, so I'm hoping we won't get a flood of them little bastids. Bad enough we got trapped inside by the yellow flies all of June and early part of July.

Yeah, we've hit a dry patch here too over the past several days. Supposed to be a 50 percent chance of rain today, but not seeing anything on the radar.

Would have liked to run out to the Lake Jackson Sonic this evening, but had a headache all day long and didn't feel like going out. Haven't had the blue car out for about a month now. Our road is kind of bumpy anyway. They always grade the road right before a downpour for some reason.

I've been in New Smyrna Beach all week. Mowed the grass last Saturday morning before I left, still see the tracks the mower left, not a drop of rain!
