Wassup!!!
Angel, my daughter and I went out for an early dinner at the Villages this evening tops down enjoying the ride etc. We did a cruise around the square me following them, and I stopped at a 4-way stop sign letting a van to my right go ahead (he was there 1st). I then started into the intersection after the van was past me, and This IDIOT in a golf cart who was at the stop sign across from me (and got to the intersection after me) pulls out and nearly hits me.
I shook my head, and then he smarts off...I don' know why you're shaking your head, I had the right of way he says.
I was now along side of him, trying to get over into his lane (which he would'nt let me) and I replied, how the hell do ya figure...I was at the intersection b4 you, I let the van have the right of way and then I went. He then said... you didn't even stop.
Now I'm Peeved!!! :banghead: WTF I replied... I had to be stopped in order to let the van go, you must be BLIND.
Now his wife starts in on me with her..

I figured it wasn't worth getting my A$$ whooped by a bunch of retired dudes, so I left.

In the Villages, it's the preferred mode of travel. It's a "golf cart community".
Some of these people spend thousands above the normal cost of a cart, getting them done up like antique cars, etc.:shrug01: So others will oooo and ahhhh over them.
 
Just because everyone has them doesn't mean they are legal. :shrug01: But I'm sure pressing that issue could make you rather unpopular with your neighborhood.
 
We have a golf community here that was taken to court for driving their golf carts on the public streets. They won and are now allowed to drive the carts anywhere within the community. :eek:
You can't win an argument when the offender doesn't care. So why bother. If they had hit you, then it's worth arguing about.

Damage

Golfing aside, how was the area? Did it suffer any damage from the tornados? We are planning a cruise up there in May. The third Sat of every month they have a car show around the square and tied in with the Lakeridge Winery, it's a great weekend.
 
Yeah, that is one of the major failings of the legal system, in my opinion. There is really nothing fitting nor worthy you can do to someone deserving and expect to get away with it by offering to the judge the defense, "But your honor, he is an ASSHOLE." :shrug01:

Sorry 2Vettes....I'll have to disagree with you this time. :NoNo: Cuz I'll be dayyyumed if i'd hop in a golf cart to cruise the square, if/when there's a perfectly good Vette in the corral!:thumbsup:

They have to prove it to the rest of the world on a daily basis!":exactly:
And besides Ray........Try picturing them driving around "nekkid" except for their Depends and THAT should put a smile:lmao: back on the ole face!
