RM Auctions Ft. Lauderdale: $3.1 Million in Corvette Sales

RM Auctions continues to dazzle with the high quality Corvettes they bring together to sell at their auctions. Over the weekend of February 15-17, RM Auctions presented 44 Corvettes for sale at their Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale auction. Of the 44 Corvettes to cross the block, 25 were hammered home as a sale resulting in a 62% sales success for the Corvettes.
Of the top Corvette sales, four of the five were 1967 427 ci big block cars. The top seller was a Tuxedo Black 427/435 hp 1967 Corvette Roadster which sold for $178,750. The triple black Corvette featured only 13 miles since a ground up restoration and was a 2007 Bloomington Gold winner. Numbers 2 and 3 on the top sales list were highly optioned 1967 Corvettes with the L68 427/400 hp engine. They sold for $167,500 and $155,100 respectively. The non-67 Corvette to break the top five was a 1957 Fuel Injected Corvette Roadster. The rare Inca Silver C1 fuelie sold for $154,000.
RM Auction's next event will be held March 8th at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida as they present The Automobiles of Amelia Island.
