Shipped '69 and Z06 to Florida

Vettes arrive in Florida!

Well, eveything went exceptionally well with the shipment of the '69 and the Z06. :yesnod: I would highly recommend Tom Sunday to anyone that needs a transporter. I forgot to take a picture, but the trailer tag had a license plate frame that said, ... "My other car is a Vette". Got to love it! :yesnod:

As promised, here are a few pictures that I took of the cars after the transporter arrived. I only got a picture of the Z06 coming out of the trailer. The Z06 came off the truck first and while I was taking that to the house, a mile or so away, he had the '69 unloaded by the time I returned. I also took a few pics of the '01 vert, I did not want her to feel slighted! I hope the photoshow works!

There has to be something wrong with this picture, I am now sitting in Maryland and the Vettes are sitting in Florida. :thinkin: WTF???

Why not move down right now and leave the house vacant? Are you using a realtor or FSBO?

We do have the house listed with a realtor and hopefully something will break free shortly. It is a slow market right now and it has only been listed for three weeks. We'll see how things go!

Both Joyce and I have to work into July, so we have a few more weeks left on that end. If we have to make a choice on which to leave vacant, it probably would be the house in Florida. We have owned it for 2 1/2 years and have used it as a vacation home since it was built. We have the infrastructure in place to take care of it (lawn, landscaping, pool, community security, etc.) so it makes more sense to continue along this path at the moment. Now if for some god for saken reason this is not resolved by the time winter hits, I just might change my plans!

Very, very nice photoshow, Rich! Thanks so much for taking the photos. The vettes look very nice here in Florida. I like the last shot where they're all tucked in nice and cozy with their battery tenders in place!
Hurry and sell your home and get down here!!

Thanks Ray!

Those are carpet samples that were given to me by a carpet salesman so I did not get a selection on the colors. When I had the house built I had the builder do the garage floor with UCoat-it. It is a great system and is very easy to keep clean. Tires will leave tread marks on the floor but it wipes up pretty easily. But if I park the cars on a carpet sample it avoids the large tread marks on the floor and therefore less cleaning that I have to do.

Very nice photo show, I feel like I know them after watching them being loaded then unloaded. It is nice to see that they have their "blankey's" on and all safe and sound in their new home.

Robert watched your photoshow and really liked your '69. He's looking forward to seeing next time you're down!

Thanks Linda,

We will have you guys over as soon as we get down there! Looking forward to getting the '69 out a little more this fall. Summer will not be a great time for a ride in it, between the Florida sun, the black interior, and the natural heat that comes off the big block, it probably will stay in the garage until the weather breaks.

Thanks Joe!

I thought the forum would get a kick out of the pictures since I don't think we have transported many of the owners cars since the forum started. We have had a new purchase or two transported, but I thought this might be a little different.

It is a little strange sitting here in Maryland and the Vettes in Ft. Myers. This is the first time I cannot go look at my Vettes since the mid 80s. To be honest, I don't like it much! I just need the house here in Maryland to sell, then this will be over with.
