I must have tried close to 200 tags before I hit one that wasn't taken :dancer01:

Great tags. I am thinking about getting one when the tag is due in June. Any suggestions? Keep it clean.

No Suggestions, but look at this web site and try to match your car color also:

Here's Another Tag

Here's a picture of my tag:

Tag%205.JPG

Having a black car I find that after washing it is very difficult to get the water out of all the cracks. Water hides behind the tag and then leaks out later, usually leaving a spotted trail down the rear bumper area. I have found a way to virtually eliminate this and thought others here might be interested.

Older muscle cars like the late 60's early 70's Camaro and Chevelle had the fuel filler hidden behind the license plate. The plate mounted on a spring loaded bracket that allowed the plate to be pulled down for access to the gas cap. I found one of these on a restoration site and ordered it for about $20. I then made a little mounting bracket out of aluminum and bolted the aluminum piece to the spring loaded bracket and to the plate mounting holes on the Corvette bumper. Now I can lift the plate up and wash under it, then dry under it so that water won't leak out later. If you have a license plate frame you can use clear silicone sealant between the license plate and the frame to keep water from leaking out there also.

I hope this helps someone else that is anal about keeping their car looking nice.

I have changed the LXXXII plate to...

This is a repost....but I guess not all have seen! :hehehe::dancer01:

Because the C3 is considered the 'Shark', our '82 screamed for the 'Save Our Seas' specialty plate that features a shark of course.

So, lo and behold, another surprise at the Florida DMV website...the plate I wanted was available! :dancer01: And to boot, it has the colors to match the car...how appropiate for a C3!!!!

So, here is our '82's new 'nametag'!! Should make for jealous C3 drivers in other states with a plate like this damn near designed for this generation! :hehehe:

The car was pictured over Labor Day weekend, 2010, In St. Pete, Florida, at "Vettes on the Pier"!!
