Sick Leave

Well I've been to 4 doctors in the last two weeks and the conclusion, I'm going in for surgery early in October :ack2: . I have some nerve damage in my left arm and it hasn't responded to any treatments the past two months. Actually it's getting worse. The doctor said I should only be off work for about 7 weeks . Something about taking old geezers longer to heal. First surgery for me since I wrecked a 48 Panhead in 84 and crushed my ankle.
Vicki's doctor visits have a better report. They said her knee is coming along fine and no cutting will be necessary here, at least for now. She still has a good limp and can't walk for long distances. She'll be going back to work when I'm out.
The doctor visits and trying to get all my paper work done for my absence at work has kept me tied up most of the week. Damn and I thought about getting the duck a few months back... well to late now.

Good luck with the surgery.... Hope it fixes you right up.

I know I've got a partially pinched nerve in my neck from bone spurs on my vertebrae from an old automobile accident (someone rear-ended us while sitting at a stop light), that affects my right arm. I can feel the weakness there and sometimes my hand shakes, but so far it's not too bad.... As long as I can work the stick shift, then I figure I'm doing OK.

But probably sooner or later I'm going to have to do something about it that requires some slice and dice..... :ack2:

:wavey: Glad to hear Vicki's knee is coming along!

Sorry the treatments haven't worked out for you. Good luck with the surgery!

Man, you take it easy and heal quick:thumbsup:

Let us know if either of you need anything?

Gordon

Ya know I was thinking about that. My arm will be in a cast so don't know if I'll be able to get behind the wheel. I would hate to ask ya Ken, I know you like em with steel bumpers :lmao:

Sorry to hear about your quandry Rick. Let me know if I can do anything for you. I could bring you and Vicki some Boiler Room Philly Steak sandwiches!!! I'll be keeping you in my prayers bro. Mark

Rick, Too bad about that surgery, but I have a friend that had something like that awhile back, and he is fine now. His problem was with his right arm and hand and he didn't have sex for several weeks.:lmao:
Hope all goes well...

He could sue! In the legal field, that particular damage is known as "Loss of Consortium"...
