Stealth Fun/Blowers et al

One might wonder about this thread(start) and imply, WTF I didn't buy a ZO6(7?) or ZR1. Answer simple enough, wanted a convertible. Well, blessed with a paltry 436 (exhaust option) bhp seems to me that the convertible a good stealth dragster, since many know that it is what it is.

So, what to do? I had a 2000 Ford Excursion with the 7.4L PowerStroke diesel that I was going to have propane injected, etc. so that this 4x4, almost 4 ton behemoth would truly 'lurk' at some red lights trolling for unsuspecting Honda Civics.:D I didn't do it, but considered it seriously.

Now, I just have to believe that any modification will indeed null and void the warranty? Not necessarily a 'biggie', but could be. The warranty period, not sure if 36 or 48, and add in the goofy powertrain warranty, who knows what the heck the real warranty is.

So, have any of you brave folks toyed with the idea of 'charging' a Vette in warranty? Any negatives or "wish I never done that lamentations?" Etc. Etc.

Of course, what did you do AND whom did you use to DO it. Brand names and installers, welcome.

Thanks,

I had my 07 blown and stoked with every bolton known to man done within 8 mths of owning the car. I was doing an all motor type build and found it not to be fast enough, so I went with a blower. Motor blew up on the dyno during tuning and ending buying forged internals and stroking her out to a 402. I had no problem getting anything electrical done under warranty. They did void my power/drive train, but I didnt care I bought stuff that will last longer and take more abuse then stock replacement parts.

Although the dealer was not happy about replacing 2 complete headlights when theyre 1k a piece lol.

GM can only void the warranty on parts that would be directly affected by the mods you do. In other words, the fact that you have a blower on the motor is irrelevant if your power window regulator goes on the blink.
