Storms in The Panhandle

We had some hellacious lightning and thunder this morning with VERY heavy rains, but no damage here. Haven't been off the farm, so I don't know what might have happened nearby. I'm sure our dirt road is a real mess right now.

Looking at the radar map it appears that mess is moving through central Florida now with some of it ready to slam the Tampa area.

Get those cars under cover, people!

A lot of trees down, powerlines, etc. around 630 this AM. We had a storm cell with 60 mph straight line winds. We're good at my house though.

We had 2" or rain last nite, and now the wind is blowing 30mph with gust to 40mph out of the northwest.

Nice day to be 100 miles offshore fishing in 15 footers.:dancer01:

It was 48 degrees this morning and the forcast for coastal waters was wind gust up tp 45 mph with 14+ foot seas offshore.....I know some folks went fishing, not this kid! I was at a soccer game in Tallahassee instead where it was 44 degrees with wind gust to 35 mph. Man was it cold!

Calling for a low of 26 degrees around here tonight, so it's going to get COLDER! Darn shame as some of the plants are putting out flowers. They aren't going to like tonight ONE bit....... :nonod:

This has been a more active winter than the last two. And all we weather experts told us to expect a very dry and mild winter. I just hope we get more rain this summer than last.

I hope we have more rain too. But not in the form of hurricanes. My insurance premiums are high enough.:nonod:
