Hey all! Just figured I'd stop in and post a few pics. That seems to be what I'm doing most days other than work. Maybe if I just applied to two together. Car shows + Pictures = Fun.

WOW

Great shots! You take very good pictures. I didn't know this place existed. Lets us see more of your work.

My son lives just off Ulmerton.

Great pics Scott:thumbsup:

I have to agree, the boardwalk shot is postcard quality.

Going to have to take the grand daughter there soon.

Thanks for the shots my friend.

Scott, when my wife and I saw those pictures, we both said let's put that place on our "to do" list.

Florida Botanical Gardens is located in Largo, FL which is just south of Clearwater. It is a beautiful place. It's free. It's definitely better in the spring when most flowers start to bloom. There are some white chairs, one of which was in the picture, to relax near the water. There is a butterfly garden as well. Nothing is blooming though. They currently have about 425,000 lights up for the holiday season.

Here is the Botanical Garden site. The site also lists what's in bloom.

You can make a day out of everything there. In walking distance (right next to each other) are Heritage Village, which has Pinellas County’s most historic buildings. More than 28 historic structures and features, some dating back to the 19th century, include a school, church, sponge warehouse, railroad depot and store as well as a variety of historic homes.

Also on the same site is Gulfcoast Museum of Art.

Here is a map of the all attractions in the Pinewood Cultural Park.

My camera is a Nikon D300. Most of the pictures I posted were HDR, High Dynamic Range. You can take anywhere from 1-9 shots and combine them to capture the contrast between everything in the composition. Depending on what kind of look the photographer wants, HDR's can look real to surreal. Check out some of these shots. They're all amazing in there own right. Though probably not everybody's cup of tea.

Thanks Scott.

Not only for the superb shots, but all the follow up on the gardens and the camera.

The wife and I were looking for a butterfly farm (STFU you pinheads!:lmao:) to take the grandaughter to. There's one in G-ville and one in S. Fla. but we were looking for something closer for a quick day trip.

With all the surrounding historical stuff, sounds like this is the place to be...lived here all my life and learn something new about the place danged near every day:D:thumbsup:

All the pictures here are really very amazing. The sun shone brightly but the autumnal angle softens the harshness with each passing hour of the day.The botanical gardens being developed at Palma Sola. They have a piece of property that is quite beautiful.
