Yes they are, and rightfully so. There are more Tasers being used, and less trips to the hospital for the suspect. Why do people holler BRUTALITY when the police simply did the job they were told to do.

:rolleyes: Yea yea,,, The friend was doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.... and was brutally beaten..... :rolleyes: How about the rest of the story, ie the friend was resisting their attempts to handcuff him for whatever the charge would be, and during the resisting your friend tried to "debate" the charge he was being arrested for and obstructed the police by pulling his hands away from them. Then to avoid "beating" your friend, or having the unknown person they were arresting hurt them in an attack they used a 5 second Taser deployment. This got the results they needed of securing him to avoid that "beating" or injury to anyone involved - Police included.

The Police have a tough job out there and Monday morning Q-B'ing is not the answer.
