Well, I seem to have lost the post for where and when people were meeting Saturday morning to drive in together. Was it the MacDonalds by Hooters? What time?
Thanks and sorry but I must have had a

Not decided yet. "Hooters/McDonalds" is a bit of a misnomer. There's not really a lot of parking immediately at those restaraunts. They're just what's easy to see from the street.

This gathering place is actually the location TBV uses to start their breakfast cruises, etc. The restaurants are located at the street edge of a medium-sized mall. Just to the southwest of the restaurants is an Office Depot. Usually that's where the gathering is; folks line up right in front of it. This is all just southwest of I-75 and US-60 (Adamo Rd), and is about a mile east of the show site, at Ferman Chevrolet.

I think it would be great to go in together and get to meet everyone. The difficulty is the timing for those who have to come a distance. We would want to get to the show as early as possible, but since it opens at 8, that makes for a mighty early wake-up for some folks.

We could wait for the first arrivals to get parked at the show and then head over. That might suggest leaving the gathering place at 8:30. What do folks think about that?

Should I bring lawn chairs (not showing car)?
Always bring chairs to a car show whether you show or not. In fact, never take them out of the car. You never know when you'll need them

I'm not in the show, but will be there around 11:30. I'll be easy to spot as the gray haired guy (even though I'm "just" 48) pushing his wife in her wheelchair. I'll be driving my Vette anyway.

Please say Hi if you see me as I won't know any of you, yet!

Hey! The wife and I are at the host hotel and met Ray and family already. Matter of fact, Ray came walking up to the car as we were parking and the wife says "Uh oh! Here comes some big guy walking towards the car! Did you piss off someone on your forum??" :rofl1:

So far have only met a few people but only Ray and wife are forum members. Put some flyers around the lobby of the hotel so maybe some new people will join us. Hopefully a LOT of new people will see the flyers and be signing up and joining us soon.

Looking forward to tomorrow at the show! Weather should be gorgeous if not a bit on the chilly side.

Seen license plates from Texas and Wisconsin and spoke to a couple of guys from Seattle who picked up their brand new LMB Z06 from the NCM and drove down here for the show. So people are here from everywhere, it seems.

Should be fun!

Well, looks like some clown is trying to get this show's host hotel FORCIBLY changed. He's out there on the parking lot smoking his tires and making one hell of a racket. I'm sure that is going to go over REAL big with the non-Corvette guests and the management here. From what I could tell it was one of the yellow vettes from Texas or Wisconsin I had seen earlier today. That would be just great to have him lose control of his car on the parking lot and smash up a couple of other people's vettes there....

Pretty strong evidence that alcohol and high powered rides just don't mix well together.........
