Glad you're able to make the show, Rich. You'll enjoy it. Are you bringing the wife? We stay with friends in Valrico but the club stays at the host hotel and says it's always a good time  It'll be nice to meet you and some of the forum members. We'll have to decide on a time and place to stop and say hi.

Oh yeah, the wife will be there. I think she is excited about this. Need to check the motel accomodations. We've done reptile shows at the fairgrounds, so are a little familiar with the area. Usually we would stay at the Hampton Inn in Brandon off of route 60. I'll have to check the website to see about that host hotel.....

Yeah, looking forward to meeing some people who are just "handles" here.. :)

Sa weeeeet

:dancer01: Just booked our room at the Hilton Garden Inn:D
I was bummed at first, because the last day to get the "event special" was the 27th of October.:banghead:
Then the lady told me, that they had no rooms left for that time frame.:banghead:
So, she started to look for other hotels in the area for me. That's when the SUPERvisor got on the phone, waved his wand and presto. We're in.

In case anyone else was turned away or whatever, Steve is the SUPERvisors name that I spoke with.
He said, they STILL have rooms at the special rate available, that his subordinates aren't privilaged to book.

Uhh, ONE hose with 400+ Corvettes showing up.... :lmao: I know I am going to have one hell of a bug collection on the front of mine when I show up. I'll probably need a putty knife to scrape them off with.....

Count one less for the use of the hose....I stay with friends in Valvico, so I use their water and hose...:yesnod:

Say, do people bring Corvettes to sell at these shows? My wife may want a coupe automatic if we can find a nice one (C5 btw) for her. She really likes the spiral gray color, but would settle for pewter or something similar. So should I bring my checkbook?

Sometimes they have a Corvette Corral at shows, just not sure about this one. I checked the flyer and don't see anything. Some people might stick a for sale sign on one, you never know.

Thanks Scott. Yeah the first couple are kind of pricey, I think. The third one is lacking the front tag filler panel. And they aren't showing the driver's seat much. There is a guy in Orlando with one who is asking $29K, but he says it has a 1 inch tear in the driver's side leather. That killed it for the wife....

I'll keep my eyes peeled. BTW, the front filler plate isn't that expensive. It comes ready to sand and paint. Just a thought.

What kind of range are you looking at for a price?

Well like most people, I would be looking for the most bang for the buck. I don't think my wife would want us to spend more than $30K for one for her. She REALLY likes her truck, and doesn't have a reason to drive all that much, so I'm wondering at the conflict she may have to go through to pick one over the other when she wants to go somewhere. Heck, for that matter, I'm wondering if there will be a conflict between taking HER vette or MINE when we want to take a drive together.

Rich

Spiral Gray is one of my favorite colors, really pops in the light. I would buy the best you can afford. The few grand you pay up front for a pristine one. Usually pays off in the long run.

Also, buying from a private seller, can save you in tax, wink, wink.;)

Do your homework and good luck on your wife's new ride.

Jack
