• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Things have been dead here lately....

I try to post something at least every other day. I always thought people liked pics so I try to post some of He cruise ins, shows or just rides I go on, but more and more there is no feedback, so I must assume no one likes the pics or what I have to say. A good example; on Sunday I started a thread in events section about my trip to the All GM Show at Silver Springs. I asked Rob to put the pictures into a slide show. I again assumed people liked his work in this area. Over 50 hits 3 replies and one of those was mine , one was Rob's and thanks Joe for the third.
I believe I got a similar response for the pics I posted when Glenn brought Blue across the state for our little Cruise in. I should have expected that since not many members dropped by to see Glenn, again thanks Joe & Deb.
So for those who don't post because you have nothing to say, well I take it that my posts don't entertain or inform anyone. Can't even get a reply of a  or

Yeah, I hear you Rick. Seems like a lot of people are shy about posting. Or maybe just too busy and only browsing the forums without stopping to type in a reply. I know I'm guilty of that myself when I get busy. I tend to look at as many posts as possible and appreciate the photos and video links.

Of course, now Ray and I will be out of the loop for a few days since we'll be in St. Augustine.

Hey! Give Connie an excuse to go to St. Augustine again and maybe we'll meet you guys out there. Hmm, there are a LOT of shows going on in November though....... :sillyme:

There's too much bad news going around. I'm glad the UCP is around the corner next month. :dancer01::dancer01:

looking over the site the basic theme seems to be more towards a social club with corvettes as a sub theme than a hard core mechanic question/and answer type forum, am I wrong or am I just not looking hard enought?
obviously not a thing wrong with that approach, just differant........yeah! Im obviously trying to get a responce without being a jerk, but thats the way it appears to be at first glance, looking around, and since Im a bit hard core I figured I might add to the site if you want more info

Hey grumpy:wavey::welcome:

You'll find that this site is more of a "family" brought together by Corvettes and our geographical location, than your typical "hard core" builder/rebuilder/racer/waxer sites.

Nothing wrong with either approach. All have thier merits. It's just that we're closer geographically so needless to say, we're probably closer as a group:thumbsup:

Now...since you're more the hard core type, please feel free to add as you wish:thumbsup::thumbsup:You're input and enlightenment is always welcomed:welcome:

Glad to have you aboard! Hope you stick around quite a while. We can use a little shaking up on occasion:lmao:

Thanks:thumbsup:

Well, there was actually no set goal for this site, and certainly no one here was going to force a direction on what people wanted to make of this place. So what you see is pretty much what people want this site to be.

Which is fine with me. Sometimes in the details and minutiae of the technology behind the Corvette, people can lose site of the fact that it is an immense source of enjoyment just to have and drive one (or more)....

Certainly that can change if the average makeup of the participating membership changes, but "management" here is very informal, to say the least.

dead

Grummpy! where abouts are ya @ ??????.............I'm in naples......I say let's getter goin!!!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hey Grumpy, maybe you can answer my questions in the "1998 427 Vette" thread in the Maintenance and Mods Forum. :shrug01:

Trying to adopt the theme of CORVETTEFLORIDA. I really promote diversity in our kind of enviroment. The more subject matter the better. My intent is not to try and change in any way the theme of CF. Nothing better than friends and family doing and talking about what they like most. So to condense this into a few words, let's have fun and do what we love most. HUTCH
