Lou are you using ceramic pads? If so do they really keep the brake dust down? If not what are you using?Lou G said:My wife has an Expedition and I am stuck with the Vette. :lmao:
I drive it whenever I go out but I do prefer not to drive it if I know it is going to rain. Not because the paint will melt but because it is a pain in the butt to keep the wheels clean.
Yes, I have ceramic pads on all four wheels. The problem is water stains.sandman said:Lou are you using ceramic pads? If so do they really keep the brake dust down? If not what are you using?

Are they better then normal pads? Would you recommend them? If so what brand?Lou G said:Yes, I have ceramic pads on all four wheels. The problem is water stains.
If I go out, rains and don't get back home in a reasonable time, I get stains on the wheels. I got the wheels from CCW in Daytona. I gave them a call and they recommended to use Aluminum Wash but it doesn't do the job.
I just ordered Mother's Metal scratch cleaner and the small PowerBall. I hope that does the trick. Then I can put on a few layers of wax to repel the water.
Wish me luck.

Should one ever be so short in admitting the truth about something all the time or rather skip around and hope you don't get caught.~Clinton~vett boy said:So my question is it stolen?:hehehe: The first Vett I drove was.
Amen Brother:thumbsup:SteveK said:Unfortunately my company pays for my gas and only allows the purchase of regular. So I am stuck with my Ford Escape for work. My wife has a Ford Taurus with only 15,000 miles on it. But she prefers to drive the '93 Vette everyday. So Yes, it is a daily driver and we both enjoy cruising around in it on the weekends. Heck I didn't buy it to be a garage ornament. They are made to be driven! :yesnod:
