Rick, We are meeting at the Hess Station around 0700 to head North to the show. I think we are meeting up with Mark(mte.smiles) at the rest stop on the way, then to the McD's on sr60 to get together with Ken&Carrie and others, then on to the show. We will see ya at Hess.

If you meet at McDonalds, its just a U-Turn at Ferman and you are in to the Show. McDonalds would be better........just my Idea.

I guess some of us are meeting at the Hess Station just off I-75 at SR 70E,(exit217a the exit to my house), at around 0700, then heading up to the McD's near the UCP in Brandon to meet up with other folks from the CorvetteFlorida family. From there over to the Show. Stop off on your way up and meet us at the Hess Station if you want and we will cruise up together.

Personally, I like Jim's idea of meeting at Ferman Chevy on the same side of the road and just then heading east to the show. From what I recall, that left turn signal coming out of McD's hanging a left on Adamo was pretty darn short, so some are going to catch it red and get separated from the rest of the group.
 
I was looking at Google Earth, is there a back way from McD's to Ferman's?
I'm just going to follow Joe :vette: if I can find him in the morning

I have been seriously thinking about doing the Friday thing and unloading then. As much as I would love to unload and drive in with the gang on Saturday morning, it is beginning to sound like a big cluster dump!
My only problem is my wife can't get off before 1PM, and with the Orlando traffic, I'm not sure I will be able to make it over there by the 5:30 slot, even the way I drive, but I'm going to give THAT a try, I think. We'll see how the traffic works out on a Friday thru Orlando on I-4 from Edgewater:ack2:

We have a host hotel, but I think they are booked up..We have a secondary Hotel for Friday night.....Please call Tommy @ 813-431-9256 and he can give you that information. You still can come over for Friday night buffet at host hotel.

The Plan

Here is the plan for all the Gang to fully understanding how fast we are going to move you in:

You will come into the actual Harley Davidson entrance on Adamo (60) which is next to our New Corvette Clubhouse and show room.

Ferman gave us a Clubhouse "Eat your hearts out other Clubs"..:lmao:.

We will just ask your name, take your picture (Smile) :eek: and we are going to park you right away.

Then you walk back to Club House (Registration) and pick up Goodie Bags, Car number etc. and have a bite of Breakfast. You all are going to love our goodie bag gift this year....It is not another shirt you don't need to mow the grass in.

Eat Breakfast and then go clean the Vettes....Go visit the vendors....All the activities will start at about 10:00am.....so you have tons of time to relax.

We think we have planned every detail, but "S..T" happens and will do our best to avoid it, if you will be patient and work with us.

Bring your warm jackets....its going to be cold in the morning. Clubs can bring your tents and always bring your chairs, snacks etc.

We will have a great time. TampaBay Vettes Staff will be in Blue Shirts and if you need anything....ASK!!!

Ferman Chevrolet will be giving you V.I.P. service at the Service Department, if you have any mechanical problems. Ferman has stocked up on New and Used Corvettes for your Christmas Shopping.

As always, try and find me, Mike Dye our President and Tommy Farruggio our UCP Coordinator......We want to meet everyone!!!!

P.S.: A question came up, "Can I get into the show, the day of the show. We will have no shows I am sure. If you would park your Vette in public parking and wait til about 11:00am and check with registration. We are charging $40.00 and will not include a goodie bag or gifts. You can be judged in the show however. We must get all the registered Vettes in first before we know parking status.

Looks like it's shaping up to indeed be quite the Corvette Party! We'll see you all at the Hilton for the dinner buffet and get together. Can't wait.

Change of plans!

Jim,
We have changed our plans. After calling the motel and finding out it's a chicken buffet for $16.50 each, I'm just too cheap to do that. We'll be going elsewhere for dinner, but will hook up for the party time. Glenn
