Valve cover ID?

Can anyone help me identify these (apparent) GM BB valve covers? Overall they're roughly the size of my stock 72 BB covers with what appears to be the same 3 up and 4 down bolt hole pattern. inside of each heavy aluminum cover with black semi wrinkle finish are the numbers 10243313 CAV.2 and 10243314 CAV.2.

I'm considering some very minor re-routing of ERG and such and a refinish of the Alum for "Goldie".

If someone can resize files and post them for me I'll be gald to send um. I'm being told files need resized to be uploaded.

They build Hot Rod Boats and Cars!!! They put 3 of these Bad Boys in a 36ft Bad A$$ Boat!! That they run on the Lake of the Ozarks!!

The ones I seen were Black Wrinkle Finish also had a Polished Stainless tag on them that said in Big red #'s "502" with smaller Black script that said "Tonawanda Division"!!! Oh Yeah,They had Engines under them too!!:D

You do good work Junk. Thanks much. As I see they'll fit my 454 very nicely as soon as I get um powder coated. Still gotta acquire an oil cap, gaskets and a breather but that probably won't be a big deal.

Thanks dude, you are the man.
Ken

Junk, I could have posted the pictures, but I wouldn't have been able to ID them suckers if my life depended on it. Sure is a nice feeling to know that all of that good info is just sitting out there waiting to be needed! Once again, JUNK ..... you are DA MAN!

Well I'm sure some of the purists of the group will find fault with my actions but those who know me will understand.

The valve covers shown on my behalf by Junk have been powder coated Chevy orange and installed on my BB. Did a small amount of re-plumbing but in a subtle way I think they look awesome. No it's not "factory correct" but it does look good. Now mind you I haven't turned the key yet so simple little things like leaks are as yet unknown but they will be realized on the morrow.

The covers are from a 502 crate Chevy motor but now reside on my numbers matching 454. I'm goin out to take pics now and Will get um posted with help from my friends.

Not to worry, all parts not purely stock are being safely kept.

Hey Ken,

Never worry about what other people think about what you do to your car. It's yours and you should enjoy it the way you want to enjoy it. Now post some :pics: of the latest mod!

Thanks Rich I appreciate the support. I do have pics I have taken but I'm unable to resize the files so they're too big. Maybe I can attach them to an e-mail and have one of my buds resize and post them for me????????????????:ack2:

Ken, they look awesome!! I love the look of a clean, painted engine bay.
Your car, your taste, your money. Don't worry about what others think.
