Vette/Chevy Fest Oct. 28 Photoshow

As far as the "constructive criticisms" goes, perhaps alternative suggestions might be offered up rather than being so harsh on people who at least tried to put on a Corvette Event.

FO, I agree with you completely. There never is a perfect show. I would suggest that they contact the club directly that held the event if they found issues with what took place. By looking at the flyer the show was put on by Corvettes on the Gulf. They should contact the president or governor of that club and express their concerns. Without that feedback, that club will believe that they put on a successful event and their entrants were happy.

As far as shows go, I don't even like to do judged shows anymore. Not from the standpoint of the awards, but I just hate to sit around all day waiting for the judging to be complete and awards to be given out. I personally don't want trophies anymore, so that does not interest me. But I do enjoy a non judged Entrants Choice show. It is easier to put on. There are less workers needed for judging. Basically, the entrants just vote on the cars they like best. This takes a lot of the competition away and the frustration associated with whether an entrant agrees with the judging on their car.

I just would rather take a look at other Vettes and admire them for what they are and not whether one is better than mine, or mine is better than the rest. Maybe when I was younger and still had color in my hair, but not now. I am just a Corvette junkie and would prefer to talk to the other junkies at the show and look at their rides.

Gee, it just dawned on me, I think this show was put on by Corvettes on the Gulf, but Linda, who took the pictures and posted a photoshow for us is with Southwest Florida Corvette Club. So, I don't think she was the official photographer for this show. From reading some of the previous posts, that might not have been clear to everyone. Anyone that knows Linda, and I have only been fortunate enough to have known her for a short time, understands that she will take a picture of any Corvette, in any situation, and at any speed. So Linda, keep taking pictures and posting for the poor schmucks like me that are not in Florida full time yet! I look forward to everyone that you post!
