I have covered this before, but just had another cutomer come in with this idiotic mod. This is done by a tuner (that has no dyno and is not a mechanic or engine builder in any sense of the word) who deletes the PCV system and runs an open hose down to near the ground from each valve cover. This does eliminate the oil in the intake issue, but sucks up dust,dirt,sand,water, etc. directly into the motor and WILL cause damage over time. If anyone has any questions on how important a proper crankcase ventelation system is just ask & we will make this a good tech thread on the subject.:thumbsup:
 
Yeah... I can't imagine anyone thinking that having unfiltered air going into an engine is going to be real good for it.... :thinkin:
 
I myself,don't mind a little upper cylinder and valve stem lubrication from the PCV system!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:So what could a couple PPM of Synthetic Oil hurt going through the induction system anyway,I'm sure the valve stems,guides and upper cylinders don't mind it a bit!!:D:D:D
