Wanted to pass this on....already talked to Greg about it & a few other tuners around the state.

Customer came in yesterday during the dyno day. Car is smoking & has a TON of blow-by.....with the oil filler cap off you can here what sounds like one broke piston noise to (whump whump whump). I look and the PCV valve has been removed, a hose from the pass side valve cover goes directly into the intake (no restriction vacum direct to the valve cover) and on the drivers side another hose comes off that fitting and is snaked down to almost the ground where it has been sucking up gravel/sand/water & who knows what else. Apparently this tuner has been doing this "mod" on most every C5-C6 & GTO's that buy his ported intake & TB when he does the install. Ive never seen such a set-up before......engine is done. Looks like a ton of unsuspecting owners out there are slowly getting their engines totally destroyed from this. The proper mod is to install a PCV catch can inile with the system on the pass side. DON'T touch anything else.

Greg told me about this saturday, its scary, :NoNo:
Ive heard the rumors about this mod before, but now the results are starting to back up the the rumors.

also Tracy, do you think you can send me a photo of this mod so I can post it, Just incase people aren't sure if it has been done to their car.

I'm sure my guys and your guys wouldn't mind to take a glance at theirs also to make extra sure also.

I hate seeing blown motors, the only swaps I like seeing out of this shop is if someone willingly wants to swap for power ect... I hate that needing a motor is a necessity especially on a car that isn't even that old! and people being stuck between a rock and a hard place so someone can make a few bucks.
