watch where you park

Probably the people trying to get out. Apparently the guy just randomly parked and they called over 10 toimes on the loud speaker. He never showed. There were police at the show.

I guess inconsiderate people like that just put all Corvette owners in a bad light.

But regardless, some yahoo hook up a tow strap to my car, regardless of why, I'd be checking with those cops to see if I could file criminal charges against him. It the cops didn't do anything about moving the car, maybe they didn't see the need. No matter what, the truck driver really didn't have any legal right to do so instead. He was just being a showoff jerk about it.

Wonder if having an automatic transmission in park and being towed like that, dragging the rear tires, might damage in the drivetrain? I doubt the design of the drivetrain had this sort of eventuality in mind to protect against.

Yeah, I know possibly some people were inconvenienced because of this guy, but that still is no reason for anyone to possibly inflict damage to someone's car.

A vehicle parked on private property can be removed by the property owner. Not sure where this location is, maybe a marina? Perhaps that was the property owner? I don't know. Most people would call a wrecker. That said, you can be civilly liable for damage to said vehicle.
