I had a blast out there. I had it in my mind that i WOULD NOT participate and just watch my buddy do it and ding up his viper:reddevil: But peer pressure and well hell, it just looked like fun so i did it. I had a blast and did almost 5 walk arounds each time i got back to make sure i didnt hit any cones and harm my baby:D Had a great time and made three passes in mine and one in the viper and we got rained out. Im not one for the twisties and turns but had a great time though. Ill keep her in a straight line though from now on :D 1320 only!! Jay:dancer01:

Sounds like fun! I drove on the track there back in the 90s's with the '92 I had then. I sure wasn't good but I had a blast going through the turns

I enjoy driving my vette around the twisties much more than a 13 second blast....then it's over. :shrug01:

Feeling the "G's" around the turns and then powering out onto the straight....

Hell Yeah.......:dancer01:

AutoX is tons of fun man, I don't even see how drag racing compares other than frequency. However... on a drag strip, your well tuned car will run what you expect. On an autoX course, that same car might be 10 seconds slower than a guy in a stock Miata. :lmao:

Z, you are right to a certain point. A lot of autoX courses are specifically set up for short wheel based, good handling imports. I don't know how they setup the autoX at Sebring, but if it was on the actual track and they did not chop the course up too much, a typical run between a Miata and a Vette should not have a 10 second discrepancy assuming the drivers have equal talent. My guess is that the drivers of the Miatas you are referring to have a lot more seat time that the Vette drivers. When it comes to road courses or autoXs, seat time is absolutely key in how you and your Vette will perform. Like anything, ...practice, practice, practice.

Yeah there was deff alot of miatas out there. I can careless about the times, it was a good time. Times are kool, but at the end of the day im still driving a vette:D.

SCCA is OK...but

NCCC autocrosses are the best...All Vettes on a course for vettes and 10 passes per day.. I wonder if they have any of those at Sebring?? I haven't done any autoX in a couple years since I moved down here to Fla..
