What do you think?

Like I just can't leave well enough alone. Do you think my 72 War Bonnet Yellow coupe would look really cool with War Bonnet Yellow rims showing between the center cap and trim rings?

Not an original thought, I heard Ken and my wife talking of such things at the show this past weekend.

Actually sounds rather neat to me.

I think you should do what you want to your Vette to personlize it,Not sure if that color is available in a high heat paint. But just my 2 cents,I think if you are going to paint your underside of the hood to a glossy black then you should do the rims also that color and then just shine up the chrome around the rims,I think the black with the chrome would just make the wheels POP.Your chrome pieces around the rims are in good enough shape to get them cleaned where they would just blind you when you looked at them.:cool3: Not saying it would not look good in yellow,But again do you want to get them painted and then watch the paint peel off because it could not stand the heat of those brakes?I think they look super now,but that's just me.

The paint used by Chevy on the rims was not a high heat paint so that is not a concern (I hope) and I think I'll see if WB yellow looks good, if not gloss black will cover anything. I'll let ya know.

And hang on to the duck tape, ya never know when it might be needed.

Ken, I think that painting the wheels to match the car color gives the car a more finished look. But then what do I know, I have black wheels on a yellow car:rofl1:

I believe with the center cap and the outer ring covering most of the wheel, there will be just enough W B Yellow to look good!

Thanks Rick. I've ordered the paint. I think it'll look sharp. I haven't the experience many of you guys have but I've never seen the early wheels done to match the body. Don't recall seeing any at the Cox's show either. I'll post a note after I've done um along with a PIC or 2 for ya'lls opinions.
