It's called a "ring-necked snake". Pretty self explanatory why it is called that.
Completely harmless...
I see a few of the little ringers from time to time. Most common is the black snake. When i was hunting near the Levy county coast i would see the much bigger indigo, not sure it's spelled right. They would be sunning on cold days and had no fear of me.
