Whats your favorite show on TV?

SRQC5

The Self-Proclaimed King
Personally i like the dailyshow/colbert report best. I really wish they played Top Gear here in the states though. best automotive show ever. I also like Lost. cant wait till season 3.

I can only get through about a minute of the Daily show before switching it off. I have no favorite, try to watch racing of any kind.

Adam, you can acutually download the full episodes of Top Gear here.

Beware though, they are 300-400megs.

As for the shows that I watch, let's not go there. No joke, through out the year, I probably watch at least 30 different series regularly. Not counting NASCAR, Formula 1 and Indy racing, many Yankee games, Football and Hockey too! That's what happens when you work nights and your friends work days. Plus, I don't have any kids.

A couple of my current favorites are:
Rescue Me
The Shield
24
Lost
Nip/Tuck
Entourage
Two and a Half Men

Big fan of The Shield, watch it religiously.

Love some of the good sitcoms, although not hooked on any of the current ones. Loved Everybody Loves Raymond, great cast.

Also hooked on Law & Order SVU, another great cast.

Heck, I get cable TV free with my Comcast internet account, but the only thing I ever watch is the Weather Channel, and even that is rare. I buy movies on DVD and watch those, and that's about all. I absolutely HATE being bombarded by commercial after commercial after commercial. And once the pinheads start putting commercials throughout the DVD movies (and you just KNOW they are considering it) then I will be done with those as well.

Problem is, I remember the original hype they used to sell cable TV. It was supposed to be commercial free because we were paying for the service up front. If I wasn't getting it for free, I wouldn't have TV at all.

I love my DVR. I don't hardly watch anything live anymore. Maybe a sporting event every now and then. Usually I let it start for a while, then I watch and forward through commercials. I even have a DVR in my PC. I watch some shows or games while surfing the net.

I think Reality Tv has took over my TV .I like some of them Like Pinks,Built or bust and other programs of that type.

I only watch a few reality shows. The Biggest Loser, American Idol and Last Comic Standing.

If you want to consider these reality tv shows.
World Series of Poker
World Poker Tour
Monster House
Celebrity Poker Showdown
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (I actually have several pictures from a build they did a few miles from my house. The guy that was blinded in a shooting at a Radio Shack.)

Local and national news, weather channel, food channel, history channel and almost any kind of racing. Pref: NHRA then NASCAR then all the others. Mostly I'm online in the evenings.

FUTURAMA!!:dancer01: Oh, and sometimes I'll watch the Simpsons.

Did you know Al Gore's daughter is a writer for Futurama? She wrote an animated trailer for his documentary "An Inconvenient Truth".

we used to get HBO. when we had it, i never watched it. now i feel the opposite. The only thing is i find myself renting/buying more DVDs to compensate.

I just do that Blockbuster thing now. Get 'em in the mail. I only go to Blockbuster store twice a month. Once to get my two free DVD/Games and once to return them. I've been watching Deadwood and Entourage on DVD lately.

We all would not be here if it were not for Al Gore for "taking the initiative in inventing the internet":rofl1:

I had HBO and Cinemax for a while. But pretty quickly you realize that they are just showing the same movies over and over and over and over again. Got old, so I dropped them.

Now I just buy DVDs. Some aren't worth the plastic they are made out of, but I figure when I find time to do some shooting, I'll have some handy targets to shoot at. :hehehe: I'm truly amazed that some of that stuff ever made it to the screen.

Rich, I'm not so amazed as to some of the stuff that eve made it to the screen, I'm amazed that there are people that would actually watch it! :thinkin:

Heck I'm not amazed that people watch that stuff at all. The hype advertising sells the crap. I don't know how many movies I have watched that have been raved as being the "comedy of the decade", or some such nonsense. But I guess paid reviewers will say whatever the highest bidder wants them to say...

I wound up picking up the entire Seinfeld series on DVD and have to admit I got a lot of laughs out of them. Not having to watch commercials is a real treat, and the main reason I don't watch TV at all.

Any other good shows on DVD that would be worth buying? Comedies and sci-fi are what I like the most.
