• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Who's going to the Garden Party?

Ken, I sent my registration in before we came down for Vettes-In-Venice.
I "THINK" I'm good to go, but I haven't heard anything back yet.
Dotty and I are planning to be there whether we're registered or not.
I REALLY want to see those valve covers in person!
Andy

I'm going to try to be there with the grand daughter. She'll get a kick out of the "pretty ladies"

My former chief is working there now I believe...a working retirement and loving it from what I understnad:thumbsup:

Surprises

Glad you brought it up. We have added a few surprises this year. We will be parked in an area that is closer to the hotel, so there will be less of a line. The Coasters and The Drifters are scheduled to be there too! Plus one of a kind trophys.

I will check to see if confermations have started to go out.

Don't miss this event!!!

I've got the paperwork around here somewhere....... The promoters of this show (and others) should see about putting registrations online with payment via PayPal......

Who else is going?

BACC Shows

People’s Choice with Verified Judging

You’ve spoken, we’ve listened. In an effort to give equal fairness to each Corvette at our shows, Bay Area Corvette Club has combined “People’s Choice” with a “Judged Show”. This is an effort to assure the most deserving cars win. Please note that we have 31 trophies for the following classes:

C1 (3 trophies for this class)

C2 (3 trophies for this class)

C3 (3 trophies for this class)

C4 (84-90) (3 trophies for this class)

C4 (91-96) (3 trophies for this class)

C5 (97-00) (3 trophies for this class)

C5 (01-04) (3 trophies for this class)

C6 (3 trophies for this class)

Custom C1, C2, C3 (3 trophies for this class)

Custom C4, C5, C6 (3 trophies for this class)

Dimmitt Choice or Cypress Choice (1 trophy for this class)

The following will be judged:

Cleanliness

Condition

Overall appearance

Hoods Up (engine compartment)

Trunks Open

After “People's Choice" ballots are tabulated, the top 5 cars (in each class) will be given to a panel of judges who will inspect vehicles for verification. The top 3 out of the 5 will be placed 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. No car will win more than one award.

Allowable changes for stock categories:

Wheels

Exhaust

Minor engine dressage

Minor interior dressage

Minor exterior paint dressage

THERE CAN BE NO BODY CHANGES (Hoods, wings, doors, ground effects etc)

If your vehicle has more than the above-allowed changes (as determined by our panel of judges), you will be placed in a Custom Class for the appropriate year of your car and will be judged in the same manner.

Ballots must be in by 1:00PM. Drivers must be by their cars between 2pm-3pm and available for the judges.

Note: For The Corvette Garden Party Show ONLY, drivers should come to the podium to check to see if their car has been posted on the board, to be judged.

Entrants Fee

I hope y'all don't get the impression that the entrant fee of $45. INCLUDES a one night stay at the Admiral's Inn? What we were trying to say is IF you stay at the Inn the welcome party is free. The room rate is a special $79 when you mention that you are with the Corvette Show. The schedule will be the same as last year, vendor day on Saturday, party that night and the show (in the park) is on Sunday. The Coaster & Drifters will be in the park on Sunday.

I hope that clears that up?

If you will check our website you will see that is now corrected. I would certainly hope that no one would think they could get registered for the show, get a free party AND a room for $45.00!?!

If it was misleading, we are sorry and it has been corrected.

How much is the dinner if you are not staying at the host hotel?

FREE

Registration will be set up in the lobby of the hotel Saturday AM, and most of the day. When you arrive, check in and you will receive a wrist band that allows you into the party. It IS included in your registration fee; you do not have to stay at the hotel. For late arriviers (is that a word?) we will be open Sunday AM but only 'til 9 as you have to be in the park no later than 9. If you are in a club and want to park together, I suggest you gather in the hotel parking lot around 8 or so as we will be staging for departure around that time. Once in the park you are free to attend all park activities until around 1 or so. From time to time check with the host desk to see if you are a finalist to be judged. You must be at your car to be judged. Our members will not touch a car, open a hood, or doors to judge. If you are not at your car we will assume you do not want to be judged and act accordingly. If you have any other questions and want to contact me directly my e-mail is: nccc712@tampabay.rr.com
