Winter weather...

I can always put more clothes on in the winter, but you can only take so many off in the summer. I have had a heat stroke twice in my life. I don't want to do that again.

That's what they make swimming pools for..... :hehehe:

Got down to 27.5 degrees last night. I don't think it got higher than 45 degrees during the day today. I'm sure it's going to get colder tonight because it is already 32.7 degrees and it's only 8:30 pm. Hope the fruit trees we couldn't cover don't get killed to the ground.

Yeah, about the same here. High of 47* but with the 15-25 mph "breeze" here on the hill it felt a tad cooler. Where is this breeze in August? Oh, right, it's called a Hurricane then! Maybe 19-21* in the morning....woo-hoo!

26.8 degrees right now. Yeah, going to be a mite bit chilly by morning. :ack2:

We hit 23.8 on my front porch overnight. We've survey the damage to the fruit trees later on this afternoon. One of the Japanese magnolias got it's blooms pretty much trashed from Wednesday night already.

It actually got down to 45 degrees in my garage over night. So I am guessing all the fluid temps were close to that.

It actually got down to around 32 degrees here last night even though they were predicting a low of only 38 through the day.

Looks like warmer temps throughout the coming week with a good chance of rain most days. Plants should start blooming in earnest pretty soon.

Oh, it looks like the fruit trees pretty much came through without too much damage. But probably won't know about the citrus until we see leaves dropping off, or not, from being damaged by the cold.

Just looked at the radar weather. Looks like this would be a good day to NOT be up in the northeast.

I hear from relatives up there. They're getting tired of it.

Yeah, most of Connie's family is in Delaware and they aren't too keen on the Winter there neither.

Heck, I can remember when Connie and I first moved down here and 60 degrees was short sleeve weather. Now that we've got "Florida blood", we're bundling up in jackets like it's the arctic tundra.

Yep we are getting tired of it but there is hope .Today will be 40 and sunny this will be our first day that it hasn't snowed since last August .

I was actually going to get the car out yesterday and take some driveway photos next to a 60 foot snow bank .My I Phone froze .

I do find the same people who bitch about the cold in winter bitch about the heat in the summer :D

Heck not me. I may comment on hot temps, but I don't recall complaining about it. I'd much rather be hot than cold. Quite frankly, I'm rooting for global warming. I guess I should go out and start up all four vehicles every day just to try to help out hastening that event.

Sweating is good for you! People actually pay to have access to a sauna, and we get it for FREE. :hehehe:

I've about enjoyed all the warm weather I care to. Cooler temps would be fine by me. My Dad had it figured out. When he retired he would leave here in May and take his fifth wheel to Colorado, Idaho, Canada or other points north and not return to Florida until September or October. I do love the summers up there. Lows in the 50's-60's with highs around 70-80.....
