• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

BAD NEWS!!!
Just got an email from the owner of the track and his exact words were
"No soft tops on the track without a roll bar" so that SUX !!

But if you are looking to get a roll bar I can get you one cheap I know someone selling one. :yesnod:

Ok....

Our Corvette challenge has turned into a sportscar challenge.:dancer01:

I have had several people call and email about coming and not having a vette.

So while mostly Corvettes will be there there will also be Ferrari's, BMW'S, and maybe even a Porsche or two....

If any spectators wanna come there will be a gate admission of $10 which is liability insurance for all spectators.

Also for those that have never been on track there will be track and class room instruction going on.

Thats the latest , let me know if htere is anything else I can help with !!

OK, I have been told two different things on the question of a rollbar in my 'vert. Do I need one or not?

Thanks,
Joe B.

Hey Joe,
Sorry. When we first spoke with the track guys they said "NO" then I got an email stating that the insurance provider said that all verts needed to have a roll bar to participate.
We were only letting people know what we were told and were not trying to confuse anyone.
So final word per the insurance provider is --ALL SOFT TOPS NEED A ROLL BAR-

Again so sorry !!! Dont kill the messenger :crazy03:

That email you got today was the very first email I sent out to you before the insurance guy contacted the track and us.

Thanks. I had heard from others that 'Verts were allowed to run.

I thought that the rollbar rule would be imposed.

Too bad, maybe next time.
