I've been letting it sit as is for a pretty long time now. Same deal with my father. Anyway, my father went to Ohio all this/last week, and since I wasn't working on a Z (for once) I was bored. So I decided to do work. The car was running a bit rough since the TPS was bad, so I put in a new one of those. While I was doing this, I learned two interesting things. The first is that if you choose to adjust the TPS on a car you were driving around 5 minutes before, it would be wise to not grab the metal pipe that runs from the exhaust manifold to the intake. :banghead: And the second was that the rubber stripping that goes on the top intake piece that seals with the filter was falling off. So with the TPS adjusted and the intake sealed up right, the car runs perfect. :dancer01: The throttle was jerky and the car ran kinda funny before, this was one of the things I talked about doing but never got around to actually doing. Better late than never I guess.
I got the car tinted finally. Most of the shops around here don't want to tint the rear hatch because... apparently it is difficult and they don't know for certain if they can do it without messing it up.
I even fabricated a new passenger side wiper arm. I've been running around imitating a prototype car ever since the stock one tried to escape while my dad was driving it down I4. :hehehe: So now the car has a Vette wiper and some bastardized GM car's arm. They look the same though, and I didn't feel like paying a lot of money for the OEM one and then have to wait for it to get in anyway. My method was about $10. Also, any day now the last emblem I needed to finish up the outside of the car should be coming in.
To be quite truthful, this is me stalling so that I don't have to work on one of my Zs. But this sure is a fun way to go about doing that!:dancer01:
