Good morning all. My name is Philip, and I'm new to the site, but not new to the owning a nice ride. I have a 69 stingray,conv,350/350,4sp,all pwr,ac,with hard top also. I'm from Ohio, and moved to Florida in 1979. I bought it in 1977. Got married in 1985,and from that day on she wanted me to sell it. NOT !. Well in 2001 she chose a different road ( divorce ),and I still have the car.:lmao: Last time I drove it was in 1986,has a rusty frame problem.:nonod: Its been under cover sense. I built a 2 story garage on my days off and weekends ,1800 square feet, now I have a place to play. It took me almost 2 years to finish. Started working on the vette in 1995. Bought the frame and its just about ready to put under the car. WOW I cant wait, and wish it was done. I miss that sound, and feel. Still have a long way to go till its ready. Remarried to my best friend I met on and online date site from Ark. in 2006, Shes excited about me working on it ( I think she wants to drive it ) my X never did drive it. Well better get back to the job thing. Everyone have a great day,I'm sure I'll be back for some advise

It sounds like you did the right thing.Theres a lot of women out there millions ,but they only built about 39,000 vetts that year.
My first vett (that wasn't stollen) was a 69 vert 350/350 drove it for 300,000 miles and it's still ticken
Welcome and good luck. Steve

:welcome: to the site! Sounds like you have a fun project ahead of you. How in the world you have gone 20 years without driving a vette is beyond me, though.......... :ack2:

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: to the site.
Best of luck, health and happiness on your marriage.
Post a picture of you Vette when you get a chance.
In 1983, my brother-in-law and I rebuilt a 1963. It was lots of fun.
It feels so good when you drive the car and you know every piece of it.

Hey Ragtop, glad to see that you took my advice and posted in the Welcome Room! Great bunch of peaple here ready and willing to give advise.

Also glad to see another vintage Vette on the board! I have a thing for '69 Vettes, so would love to see some pics of yours. I know you are in the middle of a restoration, but they can be some of the best pics! I have owned my big block convertible since 1989 and have done a body on restoration. Let me know if I can be of help!

Rich
