Help 1989 C4 - Car runs rough, stalls, sometime will not start just turns over. Fuel pressue at start up 41 and at running 39 lbs. Had it tow because it would not start. Got the car sprayed starting fluid in intake, started it up, ran for a few minutes died. Next waited a while did the pressure again, same read and bleed system and it started right back up. Now can give it gas without stalling but still runs rough at idle. Check engine light does not come or register any codes. Car has the original fuel pump, relay, EGR value and MAF Sensor. O2 sensor been changed. Car has 80,00o miles which 75,000 are highway miles. Any help would be appreciated. Has anyone had a problem like this?
Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue. If the problem you speak of is actually very small pinhole sized dots in the surface of the clear, then there really is no cure besides a repaint. If you were to sand the surface down far enough to remove them(which you still may not even do so) you are jeapordizing your clearcoat by the time you polish it back out. Hope this helps! Is there any way you can take pictures?
Hello,
Just came across your postings and thought you may be able t help me. I just bought a 2001 yellow corvette. The car was a daily driver although it has lowish miles. I didnt notice at first(excitement maybe !), but I just discovered the top surfaces are covered in what looks like small pits in the clearcoat. I have never seen anything like it, but you cannot see them until you get close up at an angle.
I was wondering if you have a product that may be able to remove or reduce them, without going through the clearcoat layer.
Thanks
Sean
