Guys, I've got a noise coming from the front of the engine that sounds like about 40 crickets on steroids under there. With the A/C off, the noise is just barely there, but when you turn on the A/C it wakes ALL of them crickets up. Had the compressor replaced in March and have less than 1000 miles on it, so I'm thinking belt tensioner maybe. Looks like there might be an idler pulley as well. What should I do to prove what's making all of that racket? Is there any one part under there that's more prone to fail than the others? Looks like the A/C belt is seperate from the other stuff, so is it possible to remove the A/C belt and still be able to drive the Vette? It's a 2000 coupe with auto by the way. Thanks for any help you can provide.
