OK let me try to take this back to the beginning and you guys can tell me if I'm even leaning in the right direction.
About the time I had the Q-jet rebuilt I also changed all the plugs, put a new cap and Accel wires on and eliminated a "spark leak" from some damn place (thought they might have/maybe did cause the "flutter") . Now back to the carb. All of the above was caused by this "flutter" I speak of. Honestly whether its precieved, can be discerned as audable, or is a feeling, is very difficult to say. If a change in HP has occurred it's difficult to tell as I vitually never push by driving near the limits of the motors ability. I think I hear it as much as feel it but can find no exhaust leak and fixing the spark leak did not fix the problem.
I have faith in the carb rebuilders experience and ability but is simply an adjustment on fuel/air or such needed? Now as a last thought throw in that the fuel filter housing leaks. It's already been retapped with the self taping housing fixer none the less she still "dribbles" thus the thoughs of putting the Q-jet on the shelf and going with a Holley or Edlebrock.
I'm open to suggestions and anybody wanna join me finding the problem?
