I hope it will be a good hard and close game. I think the Steelers will have the edge especially on defense. I think the Steelers will win by 10 points.

If the Steelers play as good or even better then last night its game over for the Cards.

I really hate the Squeelers and it would give me much joy to watch them lose to a Junior Varsity team like the Cardinals. I'm sick of hearing the old cliches how "defense wins championships," but really, did it win on Sunday or was it a better seasoned offense that was able to score the extra points to put it away?

I've watched the Squeelers all season and seriously, they play in a weak division (Bengals and Browns that's a plus 4 off the bat) and you take them outta their home and they really ain't much. If not for one mistake, Baltimore would've had them. The Cardinals are an embarrassment for the league to be in the Superbowl but then again, if the empire is going to crumble, let it crumble. The Cards have a mediocre defense at best but I'll quote my fellow 'Cane, "Screw that, OFFENSE wins championships!" - Michael Irvin. I'll take the Cardinals and the points, 28-27 and let Vegas crumble to the ground.

21-17 Cardinals

Great game! Too bad the officials were Steelers fans, otherwise, the Cards might have won. I wonder where the fix came in? Vegas money, or Bailout money? Obama state or Mcain state?

Hmmmm..

Just gives me one MORE reason to dislike the "Steal"ers.
I grew up 30 miles east of Pittsburgh, and was a Steelers fan
right up to the point that Bill Cowher became coach. Been dislikeing
them more and more since that happened...........

What exactly did they "Steal"? I didn't see any questionable calls. The only ones that came close (and there was one for each team) was the roughing the QB call on the Cards, and the fumble that Warner made which was overturned and called a forward pass. I thought it was a fantastic game (however my heart sank when the Cards took the lead late in the game).

As for disliking Bill Cowher I couldn't disagree with you more. He is an awesome coach that I would love to see in Tampa as the Bucs head coach when this rookie they promoted fails.

Can't argue with the most Superbowl victories in NFL history!

Hey Joe,

Well, it certainly was not Vegas. I believe the point spread was 6 1/2. So, anyone that laid a bet in Vegas on the Cards would have won since they covered the spread.

You hate to see anyone question the officiating in a game this important. I think the reason people maybe talking about it is that on one of the Stillers scoring drives, the Cards were flagged 3 times for 35 yards. I am not suggesting that the calls were not valid, but you just hate to see any team given that many yards in a single drive.

But to be honest, AZ lost that game on the last play of the first half. They are first and goal inside the 5 with 18 seconds left and I believe no time outs. That gives them 3 shots to throw the ball into the end zone and if no success, kick the field goal. In that situation, you can only throw the ball where your receiver can catch the ball or it has to be thrown away. That was a terrible decision by a veteran QB. That interception was either a 10 point or 14 point turn around for the Stillers. If the Cards had kicked the field goal, they go into half time tied 10 - 10. If they get the TD they are up 14 - 10. But, with the mistake they go to the lockers down 17-7. This was HUGE!

I was personally pulling for AZ. Even though I think Bidwell sucks as an owner, the Cards had never been to the SB, plus, I am tired of seeing Pitt there. It might also have something to do with the sport teams I hate. Growing up in Baltimore, I learned to hate the Yankees, Steelers, and the Duke Blue Devils! Not that I am trying to start anything here, just mentioning my preferences based on regional rivalries.

But you have to give it to Pitt, there QB gets out of more difficult situations and makes positive yardage most of the time he is pressured. I hate to admit it, but Ben is a helluva QB, even if he is not always the prettiest to watch.

Too bad you can't see it for what it was. The game was a great game. As I said in a post earlier the game was very even. I am a Steelers fan, however I would not have been angry if the Cards won. I would have been disapointed, but not angry. I feel that I could stay impartial and say that the flags were few and far between (except the one drive with 3 personal fouls - one of which I said in an earlier post was questionable - but the Steelers got a questionable personal during some sideline jawing between players). The game was very fair, even to the point of turning over the Rothlisberger TD when his knee was down early in the game. If it was "rigged" by anyone then it would have been a blow out. It was very close and the Cardinals gave them one hell of a run for the money. It reminds me of the TB Rays who had a dream season to come up inches short in the Series. It happens. Just because the team you rooted for lost there is no need to feel like it was thrown for any reason...

Hey don't get me wrong, I thought it was a great game. The Steelers came to win. I just think that the officials were more focused on the Cards than they needed to be. It's the freakin SuperBowl. To call "roughing the holder" when the guy was trying to block the kick is stretching it, then turn a blind eye to #92 with an Over the Top Personal Foul on the Cards player, he should have been ejected from the game.
