C5 427 forged motor?

Well, the C5Z might be going into the shop this upcoming week. Or perhaps not until the weekend when the show will be at XtremeMotorSports' place anyway. Depends on when Chris thinks he can actually get started on it. :thumbsup:

will do :thumbsup:

Redline will be 3500 RPMS when your breaking in it, after all is done and tuned more like 7000 RPMS :hehehe::crazy03:

Got the check yesterday :thumbsup: We will order transmission this week :D
Methinks that you guys should disable everything except 1st, 2nd, and reverse for the break in,
and reset the rev limiter to 3500. Otherwise Rich might have to make a decision on whether to
pay YOU, or the FINES and TICKETS! :rofl1::rofl1:
You might come in second on that choice.........:lmao:

I suspect the new motor will be sitting in the shop during the Blountstown show next weekend. It's expected sometime later next week. Keli couldn't get pictures because it didn't get delivered as early as we had hoped. I think there was a delay in getting the new rocker arms or something.

Well the motor should ship out Monday/Tuesday making it about Thurs or Fri for us to receive it.

I will have pics on a disc for you Rich of the build as it went on...I made sure to ask for those....I will take pics of it if it gets here early...if not most will see it at the car show and those who dont I will post pics after the car show for all to see !!!

I AM SO EXCITED :crazy03::dancer01:

Well, we'll be taking the C5Z to the Blountstown car show on 10/10 and leaving it there for the drivetrain replacement. Chris says it will take from 7 to 10 days to complete. When that is done, we'll then be taking over Connie's Silverado to have that LS6 transplanted into it. She's probably going to have the only pickup truck with a Corvette motor around here.... :hehehe: Any bets on who gets the first speeding ticket? :D

Here's a few pics that Keli passed on to me via email. I had to cut them down to size so they could be displayed here.

Rats... Just got word that the motor won't be at Chris's place until maybe Tuesday. So it won't be at the Blountstown show for me to oogle over the whole day. Also looks like a pretty slim chance this will all be done in time for me to be driving the C5Z to St. Augustine on the 20th to meet up with some folks here. :itsok:

:lmao::lmao:
Be patient Rich, it'll get there :thumbsup: Woulda been nice to see it in St. Augustine,
but maybe next March if we decide to make a trip to Apalachicola I'll be able to see it. :yesnod:

Well, things were shaping up to where this drivetrain replacement was going to fall right at the same time of the St. Augustine trip, so I just decided to delay the install until we get back. So if everything goes OK and all the parts are in, I'm expecting to be taking the car to Chris's on the 26th.

Yeah I could have dropped it off beforehand, I think, but I REALLY want to take a lot of video of the install. Obviously I would miss a lot of that if we were in St. Augustine at the time much of the work was being done.

There is still a complication in that my garage will be delivered on November 4th and erected over the next few days, but I'm hoping the majority of the drivetrain replacement will be done by then anyway. If not, I can always just set up one of my camcorders on a tripod for the building erection and run over to Xtreme with one of my other camcorders.

So I think I'm going to be able to juggle all these balls just fine...... Hopefully, anyway.... Trying to fit in the closing down of my reptile business all at the same time...... :crazy03:

Not much room left on your plate right at the moment, is there?

No.... And I still have to move the sites (including this one) from my second server over to my new one. And it has to be soon, or I wind up paying another month on that old server. I dunno, the first server was pretty rough. I may not even want to tackle that right now anyway.

But I definitely want to be on hand the first time my new motor is brought to life. That is worth waiting another week or so for.... :thumbsup:

Yeah, when it comes to life for the first time, that's it's birthday, and you wouldn't wanna miss that. :thumbsup: :dancer01:

Well, Keli says that my new motor came in yesterday and she's going to send me some photos of it. Well, you just KNOW I'm going to have to ride out there to Xtreme and see this bad boy for myself......... :thumbsup:

Well, here's the latest pics I have of the new 427 motor from LME. I think two of them are duplicates of the previous photos I got. I REALLY want to see the completed motor!

Yes it is. I'm thinking maybe I should make it into a coffee table instead of hiding it underneath my hood.... :hehehe: Wanna bet I don't get the big VETO from Connie about this idea? :toetap05:
