Custom "Turbocharged" decals?

At the last show the wife and I were at (Tallahassee), I noticed that some people apparently had custom decals on their vettes that said things like LS2, Lingenfelter, etc... I'm thinking I would like to find something of that nature (actual metal engraved decals) that say something along the line of TurboCharged, or STS Twin Turbo Powered. I sent an email to STS asking about this, but didn't get a response from them :shrug01:

So thought I would check with you guys to see if you know of anything of that nature that you may have seen. I don't want anything gaudy, just something tasteful and classy looking.

Thanks.....

Thanks guys! I've sent off emails to them to see what they can come up with for me.

But how much trouble is it to pull off those stock fender emblems? I have this nightmare image of the paint peeling off of the fenders as I try to pry them off..........

Rich,

I am by no means an expert on this but have seen some posts on the "other" forum that people heat up the emblem and use a thin filament line, like a fishing line to work back and forth between the body panel and the emblem. I know they use this approach for the nose emblem, trunk emblem, and even the body side moldings. So I would think it would work on the Z06 emblem.

You might want to do a search on the other forum to get more details.

Good luck!

Rich

its not bad, hair dryer, thin mono-filament, some patience, and goo gone, slowly heat till the glue is kinda melty, then work the mono in behind the emblem slowly, in a sawing motion, don't get in a rush.

Clean excess with goo-gone or some other sticker remover type stuff.

Well, I can probably come up with all of those ingredients EXCEPT the "patience". That's just something I don't have much to spare this time of year. Maybe some sort of emblem to ADD to the current one underneath it might be a better ticket? :thinkin: I'm just picturing myself having to hold the monofilament with both hands to work behind the old emblem while trying to hold the hair dryer at the same time.... After about the third time dropping the hair dryer is when I would start screaming...... (*Yeah, doing my taxes is getting to me. *)

Well, that's interesting......... I had someone over on CorvetteForum contact me to let me know that he actually got STS Turbocharged decals along with his kit. Well I certainly didn't... :toetap05: And so far haven't heard a word from STS when I tried contacting them through their website.

Honestly, why in the world do companies bother having websites if they can't take the time to reply to contacts harvested that way? STS isn't the only one, mind you. I've recently sent out a request on info for a harness bar (to mount a videocam inside the car) and that place (HardBar) hasn't replied to me either.

Maybe it's just me.................... :banghead:
