First Annual Sunshine Corvette Poker Run

You know, there could be a forum here with your club's name on it...... :yesnod:
I like that idea, but I'm afraid there would only be two of us posting. We've tried to get the group into the "online" corvette communities but so far there has been little interest. :shrug01:

Hell I couldn't even get my group to do the Poker Run. I had six members out of over 160.....Pathetic.....

Maybe they're waiting for the "Shuffleboard Championships".

I guess you just need to give them incentive. Like having meets and cruises posted there. Heck some of them might be willing to travel to another city here in Florida for a meet if they just knew about it. There are some of these meets I never knew about before setting up this site that I am dying to go to as soon as my busy season ends. So let them know about the wealth of information that is coming to this site that they will miss out on.

Or perhaps worse comes to worse, maybe using a stun gun on their butts if all else fails! :hehehe:

Wouldn't a cruise all across the state taking several days be pretty wild? A nucleus of several cars that would be joined in each area by the local groups as they passed through....... :yesnod:

Heck yeah they do. Breeding season started in March. Eggs were being laid beginning in mid April. Hatching started a couple of weeks ago. NONE of those events can be missed or I am probably out of business. I guess it's much like farming. At certain times of the year, you HAVE to do what needs to be done, no excuses, or there ARE no crops that year.

Then when those periods are over with, I have to feed ALL the babies every 5 to 7 days. Doesn't sound like much except we are talking about around 3,000 babies. Hopefully I will be selling them (which means pulling animals and packing shipments Monday thru Wednesday each week) but still, EVERY night I have to be cleaning containers and feeding 1/7th of all the babies here to stay on that 7 day schedule. Normally during the peak of the workload, I am cleaning and feeding 300 babies every night. That's on top of everything else needing to be done during the more normal times of the year. :ack2: August and September are pretty darn nuts around here. When October comes around, I celebrate surviving yet another season.

If we want to generate some interest in our club, we need to spruce up our club website before we open any additional ones. Might be a good topic for next meeting.
