I'm contemplating on whether i want to hassle with doing the install myself or pay to get it done. Anyone get some installed recently?

At the time I was having mine installed by a local dealer, another guy I was conversing with on CF was doing his own install of the same headers. We both got the LGM Pro headers. When the other guy got done, he swore he would never do THAT again.

It cost me close to $600 in labor to have the headers installed by the dealer (Champion Chevrolet) and from what I heard from the other techs, the Corvette tech doing the install cussed all day long doing it.

I installed my own headers back on my GTO many moons ago, and learned my lesson. What a headache THAT was....

That being said, I think you could get a better deal on labor than I did with the dealership, so price around.

Oh, one other thing. Get the headers Jet Hott coated if they aren't already. And note that it is recommended to NOT coat the catalytic converters because of likely premature failure of them from the heat buildup.
