Hi,
Let me tell you about orbital buffers. Orbital buffers are great to apply wax or swirl remover. But, they are not powerful enough to remove paint defects: spider scratches, severe swirls, wet sanding scratches, oxidation,
deep scratches etc. Many people are very skeptical about using a high speed buffer on thier corvettes because of paint burn, swirls etc. The buffer is variable speed and you do not have to buff at a high speed. The buffer speed range is 1000 to 3000 rpm. The best speed that I like to buff at is 1200 to 1500 rpm. At this speed there is no chance of burning paint, swirling etc. You start with a wool blend buff pad and then go to foam for a super high gloss.
Or just foam. It depends on the problem.
Another factor is using the right product to do the job. We carry Malco Products. They make the best waxes, compounds, polishes etc. These products are commercial grade quality. It is what the professional detailers use. They get the job done right the first time you use them.
You are more than welcome to bring your Corvette by my shop in Largo. We sell varible speed buffers/polishers for 65.00.
