Me, I'd suggest keeping this Corvette-only, and I'd also suggest trying to keep it associated with a restaraunt. It's just a lot pleasanter if you have a place to get cold drinks, hit the john, etc. I doubt a lot of room is needed, as I doubt we're going to get all that many cars on any given week. 10 or so at most? Or maybe I'm being pessimistic.
Is this really so formal as to need "management", whatever that is, and insurance?
If we want to keep it "vettes only" it's cool with me. Things can and do sometimes get out of hand in an uncontrolled environment when some of the ricers and such show up (nothing against the Z club...I love those cars!!!!).
And those mullet wearing F-body guys.....

(read further before you throw things at me:lmao: ).
I probably won't be there much of the time though as my vette has no top currently and leaks like the Titanic. It usually sits in storage while I try to get parts to make it look decent again.
I could make it in my
Z28 or I could show up in the
Elephant chaser just to hang with friends.
Thats what I usually do at Andreh's on saturday afternoon. A lot of time I come straight from work or some other function where I didn't have the vette and didn't have time to go get it since it's not my DD. As Jim can tell you, I just park it off to the side and go hang out. Wouldn't want to ruin the "ambiance"

. I actually do the same thing at a lot of Corvette functions for the same reasons and sometimes because I have 2 people with me.
Anyway, we can certainly do that though if you like. Set up whatever restrictions you guys want, it's ok with me:thumbsup:
No, absolutely not as far as I'm concerned.
Unfortunately, if a group of auto enthusiasts begin "hanging around" in one of the shopping center parking lots without going inside and sitting down at a restaurant or such, many of the establishments have begun calling the Sheriff's Office and asking them to leave. It really depends on how many people show up, if anyone shows thier colors *(burnouts, bustin' balls through the parking area, etc.), managements view of hi performance car owners and the centers policy on loitering.
I've seen groups of individuals removed from parking lots that where doing absolutely nothing other than sitting by thier cars and talking. Some even after buying a burger or such and taking it back outside. One place even told thier "customers" they could buy thier burgers but could not eat by thier cars. They had to sit inside or leave????
Some of you may recall Checkers was this way. After the Setzer show was over at 9 or so, he'd announce that everyone had to clear the lot and they would start ushering folks out. After a while, the S.O. would come in and move people along and then they would make another "sweep" about a half hour later. If you remained in the area, you were threatened with tresspassing charges.
Target (good old USA supporter:rofl1: ) was instrumental in having Ronnie removed from the Burger King parking lot on North Dale Mabry as well. Seems they felt the show was taking up too many of thier valuable parking spaces and inconviencing thier customers??? At the time we were attending there were ALWAYS more than sufficient spaces close up for the patrons and there was NO INTERFERENCE:NoNo:
Fact or fantasy, they succeded and off the show went to another venue

.
If there's only a few, it stays resonable and there's no incidents, then it'll probably never be a problem:thumbsup:
I was just thinking ahead...sorry...
Insurance? depends on whether it ever got big enough and became a sponsored thing or not?
I'm working all those details out on the bigger cruise in I've been planning as previously mentioned, but that one will be more like Setzers, with music, a reserved lot, etc. We're likely going to need insurance for that. It's a matter of who will provide it? It looks like my sponsor is planning on doing that:thumbsup:
BTW, the weather reports are not looking all that good for this afternoon

Do we still want to plan on it with the holiday and all and play it by ear, or do we want to wait until maybe the first weekend after new year?
Ya;ll make the call. I have chit to do....later....:wavey:
