Mucle-Car Dealer?

Hey,
I´m looking for a highlight (next to the want-to-have C5 Z06) on my trip to Florida.
Therefore, that it´s a "car"-trip, I want to see as much as possible from the american automotive art.
Inspired by a lot of films, the old muscle cars of the 60s/70s have been placed in my mind for a long time now.

And I want so see them! And hear them!

Are their special dealers which are worth of a visit?
Perhaps some other good adresses, where I can find those cars?
Sitting behind a real big block - oh, yes.........
(plz don´t say I should look into the people´s garages ;) )

At first (I guess 2 days) in Miami for looking & buying the C5, then we planned to drive north, Orlando & co. We are flexible!
I watched Tarantinos Death Proof yesterday....shouldn´t have done this!

Flocki, when in Miami go visit Miami Kar Krazy. Some good muscle cars there. www.miamikarkrazy.com for address and directions.

On your way to Orlando: Classic Corvettes and Muscle cars: www.classiccorvettes.com

Visit Don Gartlis's musuem on your way to Orlando: www.gartlis.com

Also while in Orlando: Old Town car show/cruise every Friday/Saturday night in Kissimmee: http://www.virtualtourist.com/trave...gs_To_Do-Orlando-Old_Town_Kissimmee-BR-1.html

Hope this helps you out and you get to see some nice cars. Enjoy your trip to Florida and good luck buying your 'vette!!

Garlits museum is north of Orlando (past it coming from Miami) near Ocala, but still a cool place to visit!

I spent half an our with my working colleague about the page of Miami Kar Krazy now - that´s amazing!
Thanks for the hints, this will help us finding a route!

Perhaps a 69 Camaro with big block even makes more fun as the C5..hmm...no it doesn´t ...no it doesn´t...no it doesn´t......those thoughts must leave my mind :ack2:

Does a medicine exist which cures me from that fever?
I can only see Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers, Camaros, `Cudas, GTO´s, Sting Rays and Stingrays, Firebirds.......they are all around me....help :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

No, once you have it, it only gets worse! I can prescribe something that might make you feel better for a little while. Rx= Buy a Corvette and call us in the morning!

There are several around here. A dealer in Clearwater (on Gulf to bay) specializes in older muscle cars, the museum in Tarpon Springs, and there are a few others.

If you're interested in heading toward the gulf, I will get you the names addresses and contact information.

As mentioned before...

and I support and back up the suggestion...is to visit Old Town, near Orlando on Route 192. :yesnod:

Here, on any given Friday or Saturday evening, you can possibly take in anywhere from 200 to 300 cars all types, eras, model years of your favorite, and be mostly antiques/muscles cars! Its certainly a trip back in time.

Another huge show, with approx 1500 to 1600 cars, is in Daytona at the Speedway. This show occurs I think every March/April time frame. Going to the Speedway web site should shed some light on this event. Other members help me out with this information if you can! :wavey:

flodida trip

depending on when you will be here, cruise over towards the Sarasota area, Ill pull out the Ron Fellows and we will hook up with a dozen or so other vettes for a little run

We´ll be there from 23. feb - 01. march. Have just that week for the corvette. We know it´s not enough time for anything:ack2:
I didn´t know that your car dealers are opened at saturdays/sundays, too.
That makes things easier.
The battle plan is, that we´re gonna buy the zed at sunday or even monday, then we have some free days until the car must be stuffed at the harbour.
So far now, I want to be there when they put my car into the container. I´m afraid they scratch something.
Sarasota is just a little bit south from Tampa, right?
That might be on our way back from Orlando :)

Sarasota is about an hour south of Tampa (40 minutes by Z:thumbsup:).

zed trip

shadow is correct. about an hour. we dont have the autobahn but we have some nice back roads for letting the zed breath

Yes, you don´t have it. But that´s no problem. I´m glad you don´t have it.
Every trip on the german autobahn @fridays, when everybody wants to get home as fast as possible seems to be a dangerous journey for people like me, who don´t want to play with the car at full throttle.
I´ll try to plan our route for a visit in Tampa! (Ron Fellows---oh yes :D)

sarasota trip

give me as much advance notice as possible. if you need a place to stay for the night, no problem. we can get togather a few vettes and have some fun
