Wassup!!!
The wife and I did some shopping today, and decided to go to Target as well.

We parked our Vette's way out there, for obvious reasons. and when we came out, there was another C6 parked right next to our cars.:thumbsup:
When I looked at his plate, I realized it belonged to this fella I spoke to on the CF (OTTERR). So, I left him a note on his windshield, written on one of This Forums flyers :D, hopefully he'll become a member!
Funny thing is, a guy drove past, flipped around, stopped and asked what type of function was going on with the Vette's?
Anyway, I spoke with him for a bit, finding out he and his wife own a Vette as well so, I invited him to the forum as well!:D

Man, I just about NEVER see other Corvettes around this neck of the woods. I did happen to see two of them in downtown Apalachicola this past Friday, however. A LMB C6 vert and a MY C5 vert. Both were parked on the main street. Didn't see the owners milling about, though.

But good work being a CFL ambassador, Ray! :thumbsup:

Shoot, that reminds me. I have a few boxes of flyers I need to ship out to some people........... :banghead:
 
Hi Ray, That was a nice thing you did. Attracting nice decent fun loving folks and keeping the whiney boys away is hard to do. It seems sometimes that people rather bitch than be cooperative and friendly. Anyway, Thanks again. I think I am going to call you Ambassador Ray! Hey, I'm getting my vert Friday. Ray, you'll see that happen from time to time. I'll park way out and when I come out of the store there will be another vette next to mine....I've parked next to vettes myself. It looks nice and hopefully the owners will meet and talk a bit. The other thing that happens is that all sorts of other nice cars will be park near the vette...that's happened a few times with me.
When I had my '92 I came out of a Winn Dixie and a man was taking a photo of it. I waited for him to finish and in a German accent he asked if it was mine. He said he loved corvettes and did I mind if he took the pictures. Of course, I said no help yourself...
It's funny. Everyone at work knows I drive a vette and have since they've known me. So, many times someone will say " I saw a corvette the other day and thought about you". They can't tell one vette from another but the car reminds them of me....nice way to remember someone, no?

To be quite honest...We get more Looks and heads a turnin' when we drive around in both:vette: :vette:. Weird but neat feeling. :D
Anyway, I searched for this guy on the other forum, emailed him and he returned my email, says he's going to join!:thumbsup:

I am in New Hampshire and there are no vettes to be found anywhere here.

How mean do you look? If you look like a Mafia hitman (sort of like Shadow or ynkedad do) then perhaps you could stop by the dealership and ask for Tommy Jr. Tell him the "boss" sent him over to make sure everything was being handled appropriately. The "boss" don't like surprises that make him unhappy. Of course, maybe you should scream for a couple of hours beforehand so your voice has that hoarse gravelly "Godfather" sound afterwards. Tell him you will be in the area until you get the OK that everything is in order with that car........ :hehehe:
